Hello everyone,
I am sure you know that our garden is
still banked with snow yet but my tea
time today made me think of this
photo of Audrey in our garden
with the forget me not's behind
her. I am really looking forward
to seeing color in the garden again.
So, as you can see these dainty dishes are covered in
delicate forget me not's.
for those of you who are interested. They are called "Sound of Music".
With the prediction of a late spring here, I guess we can forget aboutgetting out there and digging in the dirt for awhile yet but in the mean
time......enjoy the "Sound of Music" !

ReplyDeleteI bought some lettuce seed and peas in high hopes of playing in the dirt soon. I might have to move some snow out of the way first! Beautiful dishes and forget me nots!! I would love setting a table with forget me nots in a vase and those lovely dishes!

I am wondering about that part of your garden which has a mirror behind one of your lovely ladies...do you place that mirror indoors or in storage during winter? I think often about that special part of your garden and how serene it must feel...Love your garden photos! Very inspirational!
ReplyDeleteI guess it will be several weeks before any of us will be digging in the garden here in Canada. I was hoping for an early Spring but it will come eventually. It always does. Could be there are hidden blessings in our late Spring that we don't know about yet. Your china is really sweet and I love the name of the pattern, Sound of Music! Such lovely china. We have been blessed with an "Indian Spring" of late. It has been chilly in the mornings but in the upper 50's and lower sixties by afternoon. I am loving it...our winter was harsh but thankfully we are getting a little respite.

LOVE that white jug with the daisies in it. And, I like the pairing of the cup with the wheat saucer.
QUESTION: What kind of flowers do squirrels give each other? ANSWER: Forget-me-nuts! Haha

Oh, the sun is beaming on us today, and maybe some of the snow will melt away. But I heard the word "Nor'Easter" in the forecast for next week.

Oh, Carolyn! Forget-me-nots are one of my very favorite flowers but I have never ever been able to grow them! (Partly because I buy packet after packet every year but never throw the seeds out there. =/) I've bought seeds for this year, though, and am ready!!! So I just love this post!! =)

I am smiling because just this morning, I put two of these tea cups on my kitchen shelf, with a little birdie nest in them.....yes, even in Texas we are looking forward to warmer weather. It was nice over the weekend, but cold again today.
