Hello everyone,
I am still in the process of decorating our home for Christmas but I thought
I would show you a little touch of Nordic style that I added to the corner
of our downstair bath. The cupboard that used to be in here got moved
out to the porch so I had some space to fill.
I bought this lovely old window at Coulson's in Summerside for $20.
I think I will put some lace on the back of the window later.
The green and white transferware platter and covered dish came from a
thrift shop along with a few other pieces. If you would like to see them
take a peek here
I will be back soon with a few other projects that I have on the go.
What about you are you having fun decorating for the Christmas
season yet?
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn
I love that green covered tureen. I haven't seen much green transferware and it would be lovely. Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeletethat green transferware is so pretty, love your Nordic vignette!
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty, Carolyn. I like the Nordic look of the bare trees and the soft green and white.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what makes it Nortic? Dianntha

I have started by decorating my main living areas. Although it can be a workout dragging containers, it is enjoyable! Just love the green transferware.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Carolyn! I love it.

and it looks so nice with your arrangement in the corner.
Greetings from Germany

So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love the evergreens with the burlap tied to bottom! I did the same in my new addition to our house...turned back deck into a seasonal room. Everything has a natural look..so a Nordic look would be perfect! I hope to haul out the decorations from storage and. Elgin my decorating!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn you always inspire! Thank you!
Was für wunderschöne Fotos. Romantik pur. Da möchte man ja glatt einziehen.
ReplyDeleteHerzliche Grüße
Sandra

I saw your iron garden chairs in the photo shoot spread in 'Romantic Homes' magazine. Completely fell in love with those chairs, and I was wondering if you could tell me where you got them?
ReplyDeletei love those chairs too. I bought them at Winners here but that is the same as tjmaxx in the U.S They might get them again in the spring.
ReplyDeletethanks for your visit,
carolyn
I just found a similar tureen the other day. I love it all. So gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI like to prolong autumn as much as possible so unless it snows, I do not begin to decorate until the 13th December, which is my daughter's birthday. However, I did start on a small scale today, decorating the bench at the entrance with some of all that spruce and fur, and birch in particular, lying around after a violent hurricane about a couple of weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty photos with the gorgeous transfer platter, but it would not go with my things. Being a Dane I mostly surround myself with modern Danish Design, but I take great pleasure in studying things that are different from my own - your tea sets e.g.
My own favourite tea set was designed by Salto at Royal Copenhagen many years ago.
Thank you for all your wonderful pictures of you home and your garden. I often visit you.
Happy Thanksgiving
Jytte
