Happy Weekend!
This week we had some beautiful sunny autumn days so it was lovely to be
outdoors enjoying the beauty of the golden light and the brilliance of the autumn colors
the trees and shrubs etc. are starting to take on.
Our sumacs are one of the first shrubs to turn red with yellow here.
I set a small table out by the sumacs so we could enjoy their vibrant color
as the leaves won't last long on them.
A nice place to read a book ~warm and comfy.
It will be a week or two before autumn is in full glory here but I am not trying
to rush the season as time flies fast enough!
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn
Love your photos, Carolyn. The pops of color are just awesome. You should have your own magazine. It would be BETTER than Victoria. Seriously. Susan
ReplyDeleteI can always count on it to be beautiful here.

Those boots make my heart happy! And your vignettes are warm and inviting..cozy as well!
ReplyDeleteYou have done such lovely posts this week. I was thinking those are elderberries but not totally sure. I love sumac but I did get into poisonous sumac once back in the 80's while making grapevine wreaths on the side of the road. On poisonous sumac the pods hang down (instead of going up)
ReplyDeletesuch a lovely setting, Carolyn. We have sumac growing along the roadside and fence rows here in Missouri, and they're always the first leaves to change. Love your adorable galoshes and plaid blankets!
ReplyDeleteThose flowers and the boots with the flowers,, so awesome, the orange flowers, what a brilliant orange that is, so incredible the colors, love your photos so much,,,Phyllis

Can you believe that it's autumn already, Carolyn? It seems like we were just celebrating the first crocus pushing her little head from the ground! :) Either way, any season...your gardens are breathtaking and exquisite. I love visiting your beautiful island via your photos!
