A Summer Lunch in the Boathouse

Hello everyone,
We are enjoying some beautiful sunny weather here so I think Summer has arrived! Summers are short here on the Island so it is nice to take advantage of the warm sunshine, gentle breezes and long evenings
So a simple lunch with a good friend was a perfect way to enjoy a summer day.
I made a pot of nutritious lentil soup, served with rosemary focaccia bread and a salad.

Soft aqua dishes

We enjoyed our lunch in the peaceful setting of the boathouse.

Lemonade is a nice refreshing summer drink.

Rhubarb cobbler is one of my favorite summer desserts so it was good way to end our lunch.

I love picking sweet bouquets from the garden for the table. The Miss Kim lilacs are in full bloom now and the mid season peonies are just starting as well as some of the roses-I will have to take you on a tour of the garden shortly.
Speaking of tours we have some for the next few days so I better get to work!
I am joining BNOTP today for Tablescape Thursday
And Rose Chintz Cottage for Home.

Also, to Annie who asked about the dainty blue flowers in Martha's Garden they are brunnera -a good shade plant. I especially like Jack Frost as it has nice green and white foliage.
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn
