Hello everyone,
We had a beautiful sunny warm day here today so after doing some gardening and some painting, I decided to have some fun decorating our new boathouse that my husband and son built last fall. It still has some finishing touches to be done yet but this little nook is ready for summer! I love aqua and have been collecting bits and pieces for awhile now ,since I knew the look I was going for .
The exterior of the boathouse is on my right sidebar.
The aqua sail boat is perfect for our little boathouse.
When I finish the rest of our little boathouse I will share it with you as well but for now I think I will relax and enjoy the view!

ReplyDeleteTell your husband and your son they did a very nice job! Have fun decorating! What a great team you all are.
Hi Phyllis,
ReplyDeleteI did paint the fireplace screen with a pearl finish(slight sheen) creamy white Ralph Lauren Victoriana- the same as the bricks.
Thank you for your kind words!
Carolyn
I love it all, Carolyn. The aqua colors are so soothing and tranquil. We have a little guest house at our home on a lake. I'm wondering where you found that cute pillow with the starfish...it's simple and just perfect for my little "house"!

Another place for you to play in and decorate. The men did a nice job and you've found some pretty aqua accents.

ReplyDeleteOh my, your boat house is absolutely darling. What an incredible place to have! I just found your blog through My Romantic Home and I am your newest follower. Please stop by my blog sometimes at http://homeandlifestyledesign.blogspot.com/ I just did a post on a house tour of a home I built a few years back in Birmingham, AL. Would love to have you visit.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patty
Your boathouse is adorable, Carolyn. My favourite colour is aqua. When we first bought our home I had the main living area, kitchen, dining, and living room, decorated in aqua. There are just touches of it now and I'm thinking of bringing it back into the living room again. I find it to be a very serene shade. I think our Summer has finally arrived! Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
You should not have shown me your boathouse. It makes me want to sneak in and hang out. I'll be quiet as a mouse and just sip lemonade and read. You won't even know I'm there.
ReplyDeleteyour boat house is a delightful setting to sit and enjoy the afternooon
ReplyDeleteI featured your boat house today at Mod Mix Monday!
ReplyDeleteCan I just live in your boat house? It is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I think the mini sail boat is a charming touch and gives the room more personality. All the colors remind me of the ocean.

ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Carolyn! It took my breath away. I had to pin a few photos while I was here. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat size is you little boathouse? Showed my brother (he asked) ....a cottage like this would be perfect for a sleeping bunkhouse on our property in central Oregon!
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila Rae
ReplyDeleteThe Boathouse is aprox 12 by 20 ft. not counting the suneoom on the back or the little nook on one end,,
It would make a great bunkhouse.
