Delightful Orange

                                                                   Hello everyone,
We are finally getting another spell of warm weather and the garden is full of the bright colors of spring so I took a little time to capture the beauty.
I picked a bouquet from the garden and put them in my newly painted watering can(thanks Snow) and set it down on the island sandstone rocks in the hillside garden and took a few shots so I could enjoy the lasting beauty.
I love the soft colors of this parrot tulip.
This two toned tulips is pretty showy .

These look like they were hit with a splash of paint.

Well, I have to say once again where orange is not my usual choice for our garden in the spring garden I think it is delightful-don't you?

We are supposed to get buckets of rain tomorrow.....we shall see.

I am joining The Rose Garden in Malevik for Show off Saturday.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Carolyn

Very pretty, Carolyn! Orange is not usually my color either in the garden {or anywhere else, really}, but they look so striking in your blue watering can. : )

They are gorgeous!

I have a question for you....we read somewhere that if you pick tulips they won't bloom the next year. Because of that, we enjoy our tulips in the yard but miss out on the enjoyment of having them in the house. Any idea if that is true? I'm assuming it must not be true since you are obviously picking yours and yet your gardens are lovely each year. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I do like the orange tulips along with the yellow. It's such a warm colour of a sunset sky. Beautiful photos. It sounds like a lot of rain for tonight and tomorrow again as we had a lot today too. I hope the tulips hold up.

Orange isn't really my color, either, but your tulips really brighten up the garden. So pretty.

Orange is such beautiful bold flirty color. It always grabs your attention doesn't it? I love the tulips so much!

So gorgeous, Carolyn. I used to have some of those orange tulips with the purple strip growing up through purple lungwort. They were such a beautiful combination but they became played out. I planted so many lovely tulips last fall and squirrels got 90% of them. I'll have to plant smarter this year. J

Oh, that is so pretty. All my favorite colours. I love tulips and have always chosen the apricot colours. You may be getting the rain we are finally saying goodbye to. We have had it for three days. Heading your way, I believe. Oh well, the gardens will love it. Hugs, Deb

Oh definitely, Carolyn. I think the orange flowers add a bit of pizazz!

Orange is not usually my fave, either, but those you showed in your lovely photos are perfect! Susan

Morning Carolyn, beautiful tulips and beautiful photographs taken in , outstanding location. I hope the tulips survive, I know here in England we had strong winds and a lot of rain just as ours were at their best and sadly we lost quite a few heads.
Have a great weekend, we are hoping to have some dry weather over the weekend here so we can do some gardening, the weeds love the rain!!;-))

Indeed, those orange and yellow colors combined with the blue can are very pretty.
A corner in a garden with sparkling colors if they are carefully chosen makes me think it is really spring. These colors are cheerful and good for our spirits.

What a delightful garden you have! Glorious pictures! I absolutely LOVE tulips and you have some really special ones in your garden. I normally don't like orange but I really adore the tulips you're showing us here. Since almost all the tulips in my own garden have vanished over the years I think I'm now tempted to buy some of the kinds you're showing in this post, even if they are orange. Orange is after all the colour of the tulipland Holland as you may know.
Thanks for the inspiration Carolyn. It is always such a delight to stop by your wonderful blog.

Hello, Carolyn

Orange was the favourite colour of a dear friend and now it reminds me of him when I see it. There is a freshness to it, a vibrancy that grabs one's attention and brings a smile. As I write that, I can see how those characteristics applied to the man as well.

Have a wonderful day. I enjoy you photos very much.

Hi Carolyn
I'm not particularly keen on orange either but the tulips do look nice with the yellow daffodils. I like the new colour for your watering can.

Such pretty tulips Carolyn! I believe the weather on PEI is better than it is in Holland at the moment. It cold an rainy out here. We still have tulips in our garden in bloom as well. I believe you are catching up on us :-)
