Hello everyone,
Are you all ready for Christmas ? I still have some things to do, but they are things I enjoy doing, like Christmas baking. Earlier in the week I was happy that we had some snow for a couple of days, so I took a few pics as this might be the only snow days we have before Christmas as a warm front is coming through on the weekend..As,I was coming down the stairs I shot this pic of our little garden cottage nestled in the snow.
This picture of our pond was shot from the upstair window on the other side.
I do love the beauty of freshly fallen snow-especially at Christmas time.
Inside the 'conservatory' looking out.
What about you, are you expecting a white Christmas this year? Our winters have changed, as I can hardly remember a green Christmas when I was a child or even when our children were growing up, but we have had several green ones in the last decade.
Anyway, I am happy to have enjoyed at least a couple of snow days and I am sure before the winter is over there will be lots more! This is the shortest day of the year-nice to think the days will be getting longer now and in a few weeks we will notice the difference.
I am joining My Romantic Home for Show And Tell.
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn
We are expecting a big snow storm tonight and through tomorrow so I think it will be a white Christmas in Ontario. Your photos are beautiful. What a grand home. Merry Christmas. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the old gate and your house in the background. Beautiful! We got about 25 cm. of snow here but the rain may take it down a lot too. It'll be a slushy mess by Saturday then it's going to turn colder again. I think most of us in NB will have a white Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas Decorations are even more lovely with a fresh snow!
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful but I hope we don't get much///they are saying 3 inches! Dianntha
ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI am dreaming of a white Christmas and it snowed early this morning. Wild winds, electricity went off 4 times and woke to a lovely layer of snow on most everything.
So beautiful.
Perhaps on December 25th we will get another layer. Weatherman said we would. Hope we do.
May you have a delightful Christmas,
d
Your pics are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure to stop by your place and get a restful feeling from your world,

Love these photos! Fresh snow is so pretty. It's snowing here right now. The power went off a couple times during this storm. I had to make dinner in the dark and we ate by candlelight. It started getting colder and I got a little worried but then the power went back on after we were done with dinner. It was kinda fun for a snowy night.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful your home and garden is,especially in the snow. I so love the sled in the garden x
ReplyDeleteI'm dreaming of a white Christmas. Looks like you've got yours!

sending hugs...
I wish we had snow for Christmas! But, we will have rain. A Merry Christmas to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteOh lucky you! The fresh snow is gorgeous! Your winter wonderland is perfect, a sleigh!!! We had a dusting a couple nights ago and a quick melt, maybe more before Christmas, I am keeping my fingers crossed and will keep them crossed for you too!
Merry Christmas:-)
Hugs,
Bella
Oh wow--your house looks amazing in the snow (actually it looks amazing without the snow too). We aren't expected to get snow for Christmas. Have a wonderful Christmas in your winter wonderland! :)
ReplyDeletePicture Postcard Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThey keep saying ALL THIS RAIN will be turning to snow, but it doesn't seem to be happening - goodness we have had so much rain, if it WERE snow we'd have a snowy Christmas as I remember them as well!
I love snow and winter - bring it ON!!
Beautiful seasonal pictures - no snow here I'm afraid, our forecast is for wet and windy, many parts of the UK are flooded already so it isn't what we need. Like you I remember many white Christmases when I was a child but they are very rare indeed now. I shall have to keep looking at your photos instead:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of a landscape as we dream for Christmas days!

Hello Carolyn...I love your photos, one and all. So heavenly.
ReplyDeleteI love a white Christmas but I doubt we are going to have one this year. Rain is forecast. But you never know.
Take care and enjoy your Christmas baking! Susan
It all looks so beautiful, Carolyn! We are having some snow here today, but I don't think it will amount to much. It is nice to see this time of year though. I think our chances for a white Christmas are slim.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!

Dear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteA layer of fresh snow makes everything look so very pretty! Strange how the weather can change. We had some cold winters lately, with lots of snow. I don't think we will have a white Christmas this year. Like you we are getting a warm front as well!
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas!
Love,
Madelief x
