Hello everyone!
The weather has been pretty good here for November so I have been enjoying giving our home a Country Christmas look.
Our barn has an old back door that you see coming in our driveway so I have spruced it up for the season.
Now,I am really looking forward to a little snow soon to really get the country Christmas look.
I think you would all agree that snow would look better then the fallen leaves for these shots-but I had to work with what I had for today.
The old jaunting sleigh came from Coulson's and I gave it a fresh coat of paint.
Yep! Definitely need snow!!!
I would love to go for a horse and sleigh ride down some snowy country back roads here on the Island this winter but I may have to settle for using my imagination.
Well,I just thought I would share one of my projects with you.
And to all my American friends ~ Happy Thanksgiving!
I am joining Feathered Nest Friday at French Country Cottage and My Romantic Home for Show & Tell Friday today.
Thanks for stopping by,
Carolyn

I agree - beautiful - just the same!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's always so funny to think of snow and christmas in our neck of the woods it's always very hot and humid but we sit down to a hot baked dinner even if we eat cold meats and salads for the next week or so.
ReplyDeleteMerle......
Looks lovely, Carolyn. When the snows come, it will be frosting on the cake!
ReplyDeleteTake care and know that this Thanksgiving, here in the US, among my many reasons for gratitude, you are there! Susan
Yes...it's time for Thanksgiving Day!!! My favorite holiday.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos, can't wait to see your post when it snows.

Carolyn- go to Pic Monkey and edit your snow into your pics - they have all sorts of snowy goodness to appease your need for snow!

Call me crazy but... I love the season leading up to Christmas even more than Christmas itself. That's where most of my fondest Holiday memories are. So.... although, I think you're right - snow will make your vignette absolutely charming... the fact that we are still in Autumn in Winter (a beautiful season in itself) makes me so happy - so much fun to be had, still! =] It, actually, makes these images have a lovely and festive feeling to me. ;) Mission accomplished with this girly! =]
ReplyDelete(I'm so silly and just rambling on... =] BUT, it's true! =])
.... just as long as we get snow somewhere along here.... I surely hope so! =/
Happy (US) Thanksgiving, Carolyn! =]
xxo
ps oops... I meant to say, 'autumn inTO winter.'
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it!! I'm wishing I had one of those sleigh's right now. Tomorrow I put up an old sled and decorate our porch on our old home. But for now, I better go make the pies for Thanksgiving! I stopped in from The French Country Cottage.
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful and very country. I love your sled!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful - but I agree with you, you need snow!!! The slade will look even more beautiful then, lol.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a nice day.

ReplyDeleteSnow yes ... But a few weeks later please ;)

It looks very festive in your garden. Snow would make the vignettes perfect, but I am not ready to shovel just yet:) Have a wonderful weekend.

Oh, Carolyn, I LOVE it! You were so meant to have that precious sleigh! I can't wait to see a pic of you and Andrew in it, snuggled under a plaid blanket with a steaming cuppa hot choc! A Victorian-style winter picnic! What a great Christmas card!!! lol Wish I was there cause I'd be the one to snap it! Haha
