Hello everyone,
I hope you enjoyed your weekend. There is a definite chill in the air here now but so far nary a flake of snow even though some parts of Canada had a good snowfall.
On Saturday, I thought I should clean up the sunroom and give it some Christmas color. I find I am loving red and white this year so it is showing up in a few rooms for the Christmas season.
When it was cleaned up what better why to enjoy then with a nice cup of tea in my old red and white transferware teacup.
The urn got dressed up with some greenery from the garden.
I love these sheep cookies that my friend Heather made for me-she probably thought I would eat them all but good as they are-they are just too pretty to eat!
I love my red and white transferware all year long but especially at Christmas time.
I moved my paperwhites up here as they needed some cooler night temps to slow them down.
Love this angel-don't you?
I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Teatime Tuesday today.
Well, now that I have had my tea I think I will go back to my Christmas decorating.
Take care,
Carolyn
What a beautiful blog and home. Can´t wait to see your Christmas decorating when you are done. Enjoy the decorating and the tea.. :-)

It looks nice again Carolyn and thank you so much voor your coment at my blog. I love the paperwhites very much, but for now it is to soon for over here, I wait a couple of weeks before I buy a few but I love them very much. Greeting Petra.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Carolyn, those cookies are adorable and I would have a hard time eating them. Taking photos of them would be a sure thing. The red and white transfere chine is perfect for Christmas and you style is so well. I am cozy in front of a warm fire drinking coffee and need to get up and manage some more Christmas decor myself. xo, olive
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I had a sunroom like yours!! It's so beautiful. Guess it won't be as lovely in this terrible weather we have (rain and wind) but it must change one day!
ReplyDeleteJust love your china. The red and white are just my favorite colors.
Hope you have a nice day.
Love Elzie
Doh! The first guess that came to mind for your bedroom decorations was blue and silver.... silly me! Down the chute I go! ;)
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, your decorations are so lovely and fresh! I know that sometimes I crave fancy colors for Christmas but, this year, I crave fresh, natural and traditional colors (with brown - I need to make a gingerbread house!!!! It's all Pinterest's fault! =]) Anyway, your pretty pictures, here, are just the ticket!
I thought that I couldn't wait for Christmas but, really, I'm still in that in between space of autumn into winter... although, I, like you, could use, at least, a few flurries, at this point. The only snow globe weather we've had, so far was this past Saturday. So pretty!
xxoo
(Yup! Now, my cup of tea is gone, too. Wish I'd had some of those ADORABLY fluffy sheep cookies to go with it. ;))
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful! I love the white, red and pops of fresh greenery. Perfect! I think I need a cup of tea now too.
ReplyDeleteThe light in your sunroom is beatufil carolyn! I like your row of bulbs and the delicious looking homemade cookies.
ReplyDeleteIt's getting colder in Holland too. I believe they even expect some snow next weekend!
Have a lovely new week!

ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely tea in your sunroom, Carolyn! I wish our sunroom was a bit more private ~ I'd have the shades fully open all the time. The greens in your urn look wonderful. It's so nice that you get to still bring some of your garden indoors even though it is time for it to sleep.
ReplyDeleteIT'S A LOVELY SUNROOM I LIKE!!!
ReplyDeleteKISS KISS COUNTRYMAMY!!!
I always look forward to visiting your posts - so beautiful and so serene. e had a little skim of snow yesterday, and although it's still cold it has disappeared.
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn, What a lovely spot for tea, in front of the spacious windows. Your paperwhites are lovely and so is your red transferware! Love how you filled your urn, too. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn,
ReplyDeleteWhat an enchanting sunroom. Each time I visit your blog, I want to visit your lovely home. You have such a special touch that brings out the true beauty in everything. Thank you so much for sharing.
Everything looks so pretty, as it always does. I love that angel!
ReplyDeleteJust too pretty for words. Yes, that angel is beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the bright and airy sunroom where you've set up your red and white tea today. Your paperwhites are beautiful tucked along the window sills.

That is a pretty angel, Carolyn. Your sheep cookies are so cute and leave it to Heather to make them. Seems we all have a 'thing' for those fuzzy creatures. Red transferware is right for anytime but it is especially nice at Christmastime! Another beautiful post. Thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi

Your teacup is "Memory Lane" by Royal USA...that is my everyday dish pattern, and yes I love it too...somehow though, I think it is even prettier in your surroundings!!
