Inside ~ Out

                                                                      Hello everyone,
Last night we had a frost warning and although we didn't actually get frost we                       know the time is nigh. So,I am bringing in my annuals to winter over indoors.
So, my geraniums are back in the bay window of our kitchen where I can enjoy them every day.
My little ivy has found a new home indoors too.

The rst of the bay with the chaise- a good spot to sit and watch the birds at the feeder or view the garden.

My indoor garden will be expanding over the next few days but now lets go outdoors and have a look around.
The leaves are starting to fall from some of the trees while many are still green.
As I stepped outdoors I saw the sun was peeking under the umbrella. The sumac in the background have been red for awhile now.
As the sun was going down there was a beautiful reflection on the pond.
Just a little glimpse of some indoor and outdoor garden images that I took here today.

Thank you for visiting and welcome to my new followers. Thank you also for the lovely comments-I am sorry that I don't always get back to you like I should but hopefully when the garden is at rest I will have more time.

Take care,
Carolyn

  1. As cores do outono são realmente vibrantes e totalmente diferente das paisagens do Brasil. Seus gerânios estão lindos. Obrigada por compartilhar cada detalhe. Fico acompanhando ansiosa.

Um bom final de semana e aproveite cada minuto.

  3. We had our first visible frost here last night so I covered up my annuals and they survived. I love your sweet wire plant stand. What a perfect spot for your plants to thrive this winter. I think I'd enjoy that chaise in the sunny window too. Your garden still looks lovely in the late day sun and the pond is gorgeous. Lovely post.

  7. I love your pond and fall foliage shot.
And the chair with a round back. Does that style have a name. It's like a variation on an Adirondack.

  13. Your pond reminds me of Anne of Green Gables...with its shining water... Your images are so beautiful. I live in Florida and it is in the 90s still every day. So I am living vicariously through your blog... I am hoping to get some lower temps soon.:)

  14. What beautiful photographs these are. We had our first frost warning also, but it didn't happen. Surely won't be too much longer though.
    Wishing you a wonderful day.

  15. Indoor geraniums do bring such a cozy warmth to our homes in the middle of winter. I'll be bringing mine in tonight as we have a frost warning also. I keep mine until January when we'll go south for a few months. Your geraniums and ivy look so lovely by the lace curtains and your fall foliage and gardens are so beautiful, including your pond!

  23. Dear Carolyn..
Your posts always uplift my spirits with the beauty that you have created. I'm loving those lace crocheted curtains and the sun softly filtering through the fibres...

The calm reflections of your autumn garden remind me of the awesome gifts that god has blessed us with during this Canadian Thanksgiving.

I think I shall just have to take my tea on your chaise today and admire the garden and the birds ...AH ... so relaxing !!!... Thank You for these teatime moments.... Hugs
