For the Love of Vintage



                                                               Hello everyone,

             If you have visited me before you probably noticed that I love vintage china so I did a simple tablescape for today.

                             The plates were another thrift shop find and they were $1 a piece.I forgot to check the name and they are out in the cottage and it is dark and raining so hopefully you don't really want to know!

                                                        The setting is the cottage again.

                                                    And we are using my new tea pot again.

A mix of my Mom's silverware and my aunts.


I love this vintage vase and it is perfect for a bouquet of roses from the garden.

I had a lovely day with my daughter and grandson at Orwell Corner Historical Village and have some photos to share soon.

    A dollar? Wow..you couldn't get a plastic plate for that over here! They are beautiful. I am hosting a giveaway for a little girl's pink tote that I made yesterday..if you are interested at all.     Thrifting prices on the island are much cheaper than in my province. You hit a good bargain and the plates are pretty.
    I think I have a similar vase with flowers on the front that I decorated at ceramics years ago.

    Gorgeous, Carolyn! I love aqua and rose! I look at your blog after my day of writing, and it always inspires and encourages me to create beauty with my words.

    Could you tell me what program you're using to watermark your photos? I want to start several Pinterest boards, but I don't want to put my photos up without a watermark.

    I have a friend who is a pro at thrift shopping and I have never caught the knack. I seem to gravitate to the worse stores in the world. This china is just breathtaking!!! I love the soft colors and your tablescape is beautiful.

    Hi Kay,
    Thank you for your kind words. I watermark my photos in picasa using the text button so I have to do each one. I think Susan at Between Naps on the Porch explains how she watermarks hers all at once with a program she bought if you want to check that out.

    I risk repeating myself but: "These settings/photos just TAKE MY BREATH AWAY"..love the delicate beauty and VINTAGE/ of course doesn't everyone love Vintage..means it's just old enough to be beautiful and treasured.

    Such beautiful photos! I too love vintage, lace, brides and anything to do with tea cups and tea pots. I came to learn of tea while living in Canada for some years as my husband is Canadian. Your dishes are absolutly precious! I love the drainer you had them displayed in, too cute.
    My daughter has just started a blog "theenchantingrose" and so I have become interested in blogging and oh my, such wonderful blogs out there, and precious ladies to follow. I shall become a follower of you too!

    I just can't seem to get enough of these tea pots, cups and plates! the colors are to die for and viewing your photos is such a treat! I am doing my kitchen in a shabby chic design, my favorite color is pale pink and I wish I could find these kinds of things around where I live! thank you for providing such pretty things!
