Hello everyone,
If you have visited me before you probably noticed that I love vintage china so I did a simple tablescape for today.
The plates were another thrift shop find and they were $1 a piece.I forgot to check the name and they are out in the cottage and it is dark and raining so hopefully you don't really want to know!
The setting is the cottage again.
And we are using my new tea pot again.
A mix of my Mom's silverware and my aunts.
I love this vintage vase and it is perfect for a bouquet of roses from the garden.
A small vintage tea pot.
I had a lovely day with my daughter and grandson at Orwell Corner Historical Village and have some photos to share soon.
I am joining Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday today.
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn
Lovely photos and we don't want you going out in the rain. You might catch a cold and not be able to show us more photos! These are A+.
ReplyDeleteI never ever get tired of these pretty dishes, Carolyn! and, that is quite a score - a dollar a piece on those pretty, pretty, pretty dishes! Lucky, happy you! =]

A dollar? Wow..you couldn't get a plastic plate for that over here! They are beautiful. I am hosting a giveaway for a little girl's pink tote that I made yesterday..if you are interested at all. Just thought I'd let you know just in case you have any little girls that would like the chance. Have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn
ReplyDeleteThrifting prices on the island are much cheaper than in my province. You hit a good bargain and the plates are pretty.
I think I have a similar vase with flowers on the front that I decorated at ceramics years ago.

Gorgeous, Carolyn! I love aqua and rose! I look at your blog after my day of writing, and it always inspires and encourages me to create beauty with my words.
ReplyDeleteCould you tell me what program you're using to watermark your photos? I want to start several Pinterest boards, but I don't want to put my photos up without a watermark.
Blessings on you and your family!

Hi Kay,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words. I watermark my photos in picasa using the text button so I have to do each one. I think Susan at Between Naps on the Porch explains how she watermarks hers all at once with a program she bought if you want to check that out.
Thank you everyone for your sweet comments.
Carolyn

I risk repeating myself but: "These settings/photos just TAKE MY BREATH AWAY"..love the delicate beauty and VINTAGE/ of course doesn't everyone love Vintage..means it's just old enough to be beautiful and treasured.

ReplyDeleteHi! A friend of mine has been looking for this China (blue with the roses) since she was 12 years old (now middle aged). Oh, it would mean the world to her to know the name of the set if anyone knows. If so, could you drop a line to me at dthneece@hotmail.com and I will pass along the info? Thank you so much! What a lovely, gorgeous blog!
