Hello everyone,
As I am sitting here writing this I am hearing a most welcome sound-gently falling rain! The ground is very dry here and our garden is showing some early signs of stress so rain is just what we need. I have just a short post today as I am joining in for Tea Time.
I have been picking roses from the garden for bouquets.
This is the Eden rose that I love but have not had great success with in our garden so I was excited to see this year it is finally giving me a few roses.
Our roses have done well this year in spite of the lack of rain-guess they are loving the sunshine!
Hope you can enjoy a cup of tea while smelling the roses.
I am joining Teatime Tuesday at Rose Chintz Cottage today.
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn
Beautiful roses, beautiful tea china - and very happy you are finally getting some much-needed rain.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
I've always been a firm believer in "stopping to smell the roses" :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yours, Carolyn are just gorgeous!
I'm glad you are happy for the rain...alot of areas have been dry this summer.
Loved having some tea with you and enjoyed your roses too.
Love to you...
Deborah xoxo
Hi Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful roses - but - how can you clip them! I'm always so fearful to do so - that they may not come back. But, this year, I had plenty of spring roses, didn't clip any, then they died. The end.
At least you have these beautiful photos that will last - with a sweet round teacup to keep them company, too!
Joy!
Kathy
Lovely post, as always. Your roses are beautiful and I am glad that you are getting much needed rain.
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYour roses are so pretty! The perfect accompaniment to tea. I have never been shy about cutting my roses. I find the more I cut them, the more they seem to bloom. That's a pretty teacup too.
I am so thankful for this rain we are getting! I hope it rains all night. I'm sure all of nature here on the Island is happy to be getting a drink right now. Thank you for joining me for tea.
Blessings,
Sandi
Your Eden rose is a dream...
ReplyDeleteHow pretty,I would love to join you for tea. xxoo
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful these fairytale roses are! I hope your area will receive enough rain this summer - but not too much.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the romantic tea time!
Have a nice refreshing rainy day, Siret
Hi Carolyn,

What a gorgeous rose. I love the colouration in the different layers of petals. Valerie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rose, Carolyn! It has such a nice full look to it and the color is perfect. We are hoping to get some rain here some time today. We really need it badly.
ReplyDeletegüller harika, çay fincanı da...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post. You are so lucky to have rain, it is so dry and dusty here...rain would be a blessing for the garden.
ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn
ReplyDeleteI am envious of the rain you're getting. The Eden rose has beautiful pink tinged petals.

Oh how I love your Eden Rose! And your tea!!
ReplyDeletePlease send some of that rain my way ok :-)
xoCheers,
Lynn
Your roses are soooo beautiful. I'm sure roses love sun more than they do rain. It's been raining for weeks non stop almost over here and the roses are not doing well at all. We're all praying for sun and finally summer over here.
ReplyDeleteBye,
Marian
Gorgeous Eden, love it.
ReplyDeleteYes I am smelling the roses as I drink my tea.
Thanks for tea with thee! :-)

Carolyn, your roses are just perfection! It amazes me how they can thrive in such adverse conditions. A great lesson for us... indeed! Your pretty tea service makes me want a cuppa!
ReplyDeleteI love coming here. As soon as I see your header, my heart skips a beat.
ReplyDeleteYour setting for tea time is lovely.
