Tea Time

 Hello everyone,
As I am sitting here writing this I am hearing a most welcome sound-gently falling rain! The ground is very dry here and our garden is showing some early signs of stress so rain is just what we need. I have just a short post today as I am joining in for Tea Time.
I have been picking roses from the garden for bouquets.
This is the Eden rose that I love but have not had great success with in our garden so I was excited to see this year it is finally giving me a few roses.

Our roses have done well this year in spite of the lack of rain-guess they are loving the sunshine!
Hope you can enjoy a cup of tea while smelling the roses.

I am joining Teatime Tuesday at Rose Chintz Cottage today.

Thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

  2. I've always been a firm believer in "stopping to smell the roses" :)
And yours, Carolyn are just gorgeous!
I'm glad you are happy for the rain...alot of areas have been dry this summer.
Loved having some tea with you and enjoyed your roses too.
    Love to you...

  3. Hi Carolyn!

What beautiful roses - but - how can you clip them! I'm always so fearful to do so - that they may not come back. But, this year, I had plenty of spring roses, didn't clip any, then they died. The end.

At least you have these beautiful photos that will last - with a sweet round teacup to keep them company, too!

    Joy!

  5. Hi Carolyn,
Your roses are so pretty! The perfect accompaniment to tea. I have never been shy about cutting my roses. I find the more I cut them, the more they seem to bloom. That's a pretty teacup too.
I am so thankful for this rain we are getting! I hope it rains all night. I'm sure all of nature here on the Island is happy to be getting a drink right now. Thank you for joining me for tea.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  15. Your roses are soooo beautiful. I'm sure roses love sun more than they do rain. It's been raining for weeks non stop almost over here and the roses are not doing well at all. We're all praying for sun and finally summer over here.
    Bye,
    Marian
