Pondside Beauty

Hello everyone,
It was a beautiful evening last night so I took a walk around the pond with a wateringcan in one hand and my camera in the other.

It has been drier here so a little watering of the new plants around our pond was necessary.
We planted some lupins around the pond.

Yellow flag iris
Blue flag iris
Serviceberries-we planted 4 Autumn Brilliance Serviceberries around the pond for all season beauty. This shot and the one below were taken a few weeks ago now.
I love how the trees reflect into the water and the bigger they get the better the show.

I hope you enjoyed a little stroll around our pond-now you can sit for awhile and enjoy if you like!

I am off to town with my good friend Heather and I plan to take my camera along as there is a lovely new shop in town that I hope to share with you!

Today,I am joining My Romantic Home for Show & Tell Friday.

Thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

The pond setting is so tranquil, the lupins are stunning. I would love to have a grouping of them.

What a gorgeous view across your pond, Carolyn. We've had rain one day in two weeks, and while I love this weather, we really could use the rain.

Yes, I think I will sit and enjoy your pond for awhile. I adore the reflections in the water and the view is absolutely beautiful. You have created a very magical and enchanting environment. I can only imagine all the work you put into your surroundings but it has all been worth it. Every spot is beautiful. Your lupins are lovely as are all the flowers in your previous post. Beautiful! Thank you for letting us visit with each and every post you do.

A most delightful stroll around the pond, Carolyn. Loved it. Susan p.s. Are you at all plagued with mosquitoes there? I hate them here and don't like to go out in the evening because of their biting. Susan

I have been reading your blog over the last few weeks, and have enjoyed learning about your beautiful home/gardens and family.

I have found myself wondering if you do all the gardening on the land by yourself? It must take many of your waking hours each day to keep everything looking so beautiful.

You certainly have a gift for making things look beautiful. Thank you for sharing this glimpse into your life. It inspired me to get out and plant more in my own little gardens.

What nice quiet setting. Those chairs on the pier are so inviting! I love the water in the background of your floral photos, too. Just the right setting! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Carolyn,

Your pond is looking so beautiful and calm. I love the reflection too. How did you come up with the idea to create/build a pond? Was it something you´ve planned for for many years? It looks like it always been there to me. Wonderful.

Have a nice weekend!
