Blossom Time Tea

Happy Pink Saturday!
Today is a special day over at Beverly's How Sweet the Sound as it is the fourth birthday of the popular Pink Saturday parties. So I have prepared a little tea under the beautiful blossoms of our old apple tree. We have a few really old apple trees in our garden that are loaded with blooms this year.

They are white but have a blush of pink.

Our tea cups are called Blossom Time.
We are using various pink china some old and some new.I made cookies with pink sugar on them to go with the tea.
This is in our Chelsea Garden where we are enclosed by the garden on three sides.

I made some whole wheat raisin scones-they are not my prettiest but they taste good.

An old hammock under the apple blossoms awaits in the background after tea.

Some pretty flowers on an old wooden ladder.

My delightful daughter Emily came to join us for tea.

Looks like Emily has beat us to the hammock!

Thank you, Beverly for all the hard work you put into hosting a party every Saturday and giving every pink lover so much pleasure. Check out all the birthday fun at How Sweet the Sound.

Enjoy your weekend and thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

  8. Carolyn,

The geranium you had in one of your photos, I found the same one in our area and bought it. I had never seen one like it. I'm sure the heat of our summer will take it's toll but I am going to baby it along as best I can. Maybe place it in morning filtered sun when it gets so hot. It is so unusual. Beautiful post as always.

  14. Your celebratory tea is gorgeous, and so is Emily.

I adore your Chelsea garden- it is so shady and lush and private and cool and wonderful - a perfect place for a nap in that hammock.

Tell Em when I get there she has to get out of the hammock and take turns! : - )

  18. Hi Carolyn,
What a pretty post! I love apple blossoms {and lilacs} as they remind me of my grandmother. There was an orchard between her house and ours when I lived in NB. Brings back wonderful memories!
I love the Blossom Time pattern. It's so pretty and perfect for this time of year.
My aunt {by marriage} inherited her mother's set and my aunt has it all set up in her china cabinet. It's simply delightful to see it all together like that. Hope you're having a lovely weekend.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  23. This looks a perfect spot for a hot summer afternoon, I'm always grateful for the shade from the trees in my garden when the temperatures soar. My apple trees are laden with blossom too, I may even cut a few sprays later.

  26. Thank you, Carolyn, for this wonderful post to celebrate Pink Saturday's Fourth Birthday. I appreciate you always making Pink Saturday special.♥ Your tea setting is so pretty, and your Emily is a beauty.

Your table set is lovely. One of my father's cousins always had a similar set in her front yard, and I loved it since I was a child. I keep my eye open to find one, but they are hard to find around here.
