Winter White Tea

Hello everyone,
I am happy you stopped by today for my winter white tea. I think I mentioned that I was decorating our little 'cottage' for the fast approaching Christmas season. Since our home is on a Christmas house tour December 10th I thought touring our little garden cottage turned Christmas Cottage would be a little extra bonus. So, I spent most of the day decorating it yesterday and then had fun taking some photos of it today-just for you. I will share several photos of it over the next few days. Today, you will get a hint of what style I have gone with this year.
I love this old teacup with the angels on it so I dressed it up with it's own little Christmas tree.

I like to play around a little adding different props to see which one I like the best.I think the little snowman adds a nice touch to a winter white tea.
Curl up on the bed and enjoy your tea.

It was warm but rainy here today so I had a harder time getting enough light for my pics but warm sunshine is promised for tomorrow so I will be out there enjoying some winter white tea again . I will be doing a few more posts on 'winter whites ' over the next few days so I hope you will come back to visit!

Today I am joining Faded Charm for White Wednesday and Tea Time Tuesday at Rose Chintz Cottage.

Thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

  7. Dreamy, Carolyn! I'm glad it was warm for you decorating the cottage yesterday. It makes it all the better, doesn't it? Your tree reflected in the mirror looks ethereal - I can't wait to see what else is in store...Isn't it exciting getting ready for the holidays?! Where has this year flown?

Guests of your Holiday Homes Tour are going to love it, and it's for such a good cause. The Muscular Dystrophy Assn. will very much appreciate all your efforts, too, I'm sure.

Did you know today is National Philanthropy Day? I had never heard of it until this evening - when I arrived home from a long day at the office, there was a beautiful card and a yummy box of chocolates from the CBCF re Pink Days. How nice it was of them to think of me! It was just the lift I needed. :-)

I heard Bill Clinton speak a few years ago when he was on tour here, and I will always remember something he said then...To paraphrase, we may think that because we are just one person, we cannot make a difference, but we really can! Each one of us doing just one small thing, whatever that might be, adds up to something big! I'm sure he said it much more eloquently, but you get what I mean...

Good luck with your fundraiser tour on December 10th. I wish I could be there, but I'll be busy with a little something. Haha Please remind me to keep my camera on hand... :-) I hope all is well.

    Wishing you beautiful days ahead,

    Linda at Beautiful Ideas

  25. It looks like a winter white theme for Christmas this year. I love winter white as it's soft, comforting and natural and you can add bits of colour to it. I noticed the pretty filigree votive holder on the tray - very pretty. Blessings, Pamela
