Tole Treasures

Hello everyone,
I wanted to share a beautiful shop here on the Island with you today. It is called Tole and Treasures and it is east of Crapaud - about a 20 minute drive from Charlottetown. When I first started going there, the shop was in the house(above) but now it has grown, and it is in a large new shop adjacent to the house.

The shop is filled with so many antiques and treasures that it takes awhile to take everything in.

Notice the red and white toile on the bed- I couldn't go home without one of those pillows!

All that beautiful china!
The shop owner talking to my sister.
I love this garden bench!!!

and don't we all love chintz???

As you can see besides having beautiful antique furniture it is a haven for all dish lovers too! This beautiful shop is now open for the season and I am sure if you are on the Island you will enjoy a visit. As luck would have it -it is also near Victoria by the Sea another lovely place to go meander around or have afternoon tea.

I took these photos last summer during one of my visits-hope you enjoyed the little tour!

Have a good day,

Carolyn

What a lovely shop...It looks like a place I could definitely spent a lot of time in just taking in all the pretty things. Sounds like you and your sister had a wonderful time. It was soooo nice to hear from you. Have a wonderful weekend.

  2. Carolyn, I think I will have to take a drive down there one of these days. All the china makes my heart go pitter-patter. I find things are pretty pricey though but I may break down and bring something home next time I go. I have had my eye on something in particular. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  8. Oooh, Carolyn! All that flowery china makes my heart sing.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful recommendations on places to see - I've noted them all in my little 'pink book' and cannot wait to take it all in. It's been nearly 20 years since we visited your Island. It would look good on PEI Tourism to hire you as a consultant - after all, you've got my hubby and me on a plane in a couple weeks. I cannot wait!!!

    Looove all your posts...

    Wishing you a beautiful day,
    Linda

  15. This is an amazing antique shop. I could get lost for hours, I'm a dish lover, and you can never have enough.

I'm going to pay them a visit now that they are open as the tea room is looking for a three tiered china tray and I might just find one there. Thank you for the tip. Oh your pictures are simply marvelous.

  19. Hi Carolyn,
Thank God I don't have such a lovely shop in my town because I'm sure I'd be out of money in a minute. But thank you for sharing it with us. I'll be back , your site is a wonder. :)
