Tea Time

Hello everyone!
      Come in and have a cup of tea on this sunny but cool day. I am using my old china tea pot and tea cups that I got at Reid House antiques a couple of years ago. The teapot is large so we can enjoy a lot of tea!
     

The cups and saucers are a different pattern but they do go very well together.
I am really looking forward to the summer shops like Reid HouseAntiques and restaurants opening up again usually sometime in May when the weather is warmer.





This birdcage came from TJMAXX in Maine.
Some lovely hyacinths from our local Vanco growers.

 Now, I mentioned yesterday about our wood pellet stove not working so we had the repair man out today and it needs more expensive parts put on it again so it can't be fixed for a few days. We have had a lot of problems with this Enviro Empress wood pellet stove and I have heard many others have as well so I just wanted to mention this in case any of you are thinking of buying one. I know there are other brands that do work well  just not the Empress.

Thankfully, the rest of the week the temperature is creeping up outdoors so our kitchen should be warmer even without the stove and I will be able to bake you something for our next tea!

    Hi Carolyn,
    Your blue and white tea is lovely! The teacups look wonderful with the teapot. I like mismatched as I find it so charming. You always find the nicest pieces at Reids! I am not there often enough I guess to find anything quite that exciting.
    I'm looking forward to the shops and tea rooms opening too. I especially enjoy the PEI Preserve Co.
    Sorry to hear you're having problems with your stove. Hopefully they will get it fixed for you soon. It's a bit chilly these days without the fire! Thanks for joining me again for Tea Time. It's always a pleasure to have you!

    What pretty dishes! Do you know the pattern or are they unmarked. Sorry your pellet stove is on the fritz and hopefully it will warm up enough that you won't miss it. :-) Pamela

    I hope you are staying cozy and warm. We had quite a few warm days here, but now it is cold again. I hope it doesn't kill all of the blooms.

    I love anything with blue. Really inviting so yes, I will have a cup of tea with you. I was going to ask where you purchased the birdcage as it caught my eye right away. :)

    Your china is exquisite! I have never seen either of these patterns before. We have decided to head to Victoria on the West coast in April so our next trip to PEI will have to wait until next year.     Carolyn, I know I am running very late for tea this week. Has been very hectic week, so I am delighted that your tea table today is very soothing, and yet refreshing. Lovely unusual blue pattern, complimented perfectly by the large tea pot and beautiful, soft hyacinths. Blessings
