November Grey

Hello everyone,

I thought I would pop in and share a few photos that I took yesterday morning when our temperatures had dropped down below freezing but the sun was coming up making a lovely grey foggy morning. We went for a little drive close to home and I got out and took a few pics here and there along the way.

The photo above is our little grey garden cottage.

This pond is in Lot 65 about 10 minutes from our home.

same pond - different angle. Most of our leaves are gone now.

It does look frosty!

In case you are wondering - we do have paved roads too! I just happen to love the road less travelled!

Sun and shadow.

Almost all the crops are in now.

This is a corn field on our little road - half harvested.

Well, thanks for coming along for the drive through hills and dales with me today. After the cold morning our temps soared to 17 degrees celsuis for a few days although it is rainy but I have been out in the little cottage working on a project so it was nice to have some warmth. I will show you the project next week.

Tomorrow, I am off with my three girls for a shopping spree to Moncton, in our neighboring province. We are all looking forward to a girl's day out!

Hope you have a great weekend,

Carolyn

  3. Hi Carolyn, beautiful pictures a wonderful view of distance from your home. Each time of year is beautiful, and so we wish with all my heart to live once more in spring ... that renews us and makes us move forward.

  4. Carolyn, such a beautiful, scenic island you live on. The mist is just that extra special touch in these images! I can't say I envy you already having frost – we've been in the 60s and 70s this week, although that is a bit unusual in itself. Have a wonderful shopping spree with your girls – no doubt you will find some treasures to share with us. – g

  5. Hi Carolyn
    Your frosty photos are lovely.
It snowed most of the day here but that was fine as I went to a Christmas Craft show with friends and holiday music in the background.
The snow didn't last on the ground but it's getting closer to when it will.
Enjoy shopping with your girls, I always have fun with my two daughters.

Today we put all our pot plants inside the greenhouse as we prepare for our first frost either tonight or tomorrow... The warm season is over now.

  30. I like the atmosphere of chilly mornings when the countryside wakes up slowly. It has lot of charm. I like the light and the blue foggy hues and the thin white cover of the frost.
All seem calm and serene before the sun rises. Very inspiring.

Have a nice sunday dear Carolyn.
