Tea and Cake Anyone?

Hello everyone -it is White Wednesday again and I have made a cake for us!

It isn't the prettiest cake you have ever seen but remember looks aren't everything and it does taste good-I promise!

Can you see my dainty new plates - I found them last week at the thrift shop for $1, each

I do love my white china too!

Those roses have been the most photographed roses-ever!

The tulips are such a treat this time of year. Now help yourself to the cake while I pour your tea.

I hope you enjoyed my White Wednesday and you can see more at Faded Charm.

Thank you for visiting me,

&
Enjoy your day!

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,

Beautiful whites! I like your pink tulips and new plates. I am glad the card for your mother arrived. My mother is slowly feeling better :-) We are planning a trip to Maastricht (old town in the south of our country) together in May. It is the town where she was born and lived till my father found her there and took her home with him ;-).I hope that will cheer her up a little! Wish you a happy wednesday!

Lieve groet, Madelief

Hello Carolyn,

I wish I could taste a bit off that sweet cake..
I always enjoy your pictures...
Today I made a inside-garden ,like you have . I miss my outside-garden , so I brought a helleborus, some moss , some snowdrops and hyacinths in my house and it makes me glad to look at it...I'm looking forward to spring,

Very, very gorgeous. I can just see Judi Dench and Maggie Smith sitting at this table in period costume, gossiping. xx

Everything is so beautiful! I can only look on longingly at your tablewares. I envy that you can be so focused about maintaining the Edwardian style in your house...down to every single detail such as table ware.

Hello Carolyn,

I love to hear how other people live and with blogs it´s so fascinating to just pop in for a visit now and then.

A question (or several, actually) has emerged from visiting your lovely blog. Seems to me that you sip a lot of tea. I like a cup of tea myself (from boring tea bags I might add..) and coffee is nice too ;)

I´m curious about what kind of tea you prefer and is it common or shall I say a custom, where you live, to have afternoon teas?

Would you please like to share with the rest of us?

Thank you,
Sanna

Your cake LOOKS good no matter what you say - I'd love to have a piece and a spot o' tea from those beautiful white cups/saucers. Those tulips make a lovely contrast with the white and add a touch of spring in the dead of winter.
