Hello everyone,
One of my little projects this week was changing my cupboard dishes. The ones that were here before were a more wintery look -the Friendly Village(shown at bottom). I thought that the blue and white transferware would give a nice fresh look for spring. Even though it is cold here yet-I know spring is coming!
As with almost all my dishes, these were collected a few pieces at a time here and there.
I have a few of my Mom's pieces from Holland ,like the ones above.
This flow blue pitcher belonged to my grandparents.I have the big pitcher and bowl from the set on top of the cupboard.
I am joining French Country Cottage for Feathered Nest Friday. You should check it out because you won't want to miss Courtney's beautiful bathroom makeover. Also joining My Romantic Home for Show & Tell Friday.
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your beautiful blue dishes too! And I am looking forward to spring, and to the pictures from your garden when it warms up there in Prince Edward Island.
Have a beautiful day!

ReplyDeleteSuch pretty pictures! Thank you for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteI have some of the same dishes (the pattern on the platter) and have a few of them displayed in my recently painted blue kitchen.
Blue and white dishes are so classic, aren't they?
All the dishes a beautiful but I believe I like the flow blue pitcher the best. How nice that it is a family piece! ~ Maureen
ReplyDeleteJust BEAUTIFUL Carolyn..as everything you do..I loved yesterday post also..Hope you have a GREAT weekend my friend..Hugs and smiles Gloria
ReplyDeleteI love the hutch both ways, Carolyn, but I can see the one set is perfect for the Winter and holiday season. You've got some lovely pieces of blue and white.
ReplyDeleteI have a whole cabinet in the kitchen devoted to the different dishes I have gotten over the years. Some are just two plates {as it is just hubby and me now}, but I have found that I must have not realized that other bowls and salad plates I bought over the years, all work so well together, even though they are definitely not the same pattern. I was thinking the other day that I should just do a table setting to see how it would look all together.
Beautiful! The flow blow pitcher is especially gorgeous. Blue and white is always my favorite!

The dishes are extra pretty. I seem to go in phases with the most liked color for each season and blue/white has been a favorite of mine for a long time. These dishes seem clean and crisp for Spring.
