Red & White Christmas Tablescape

            Hello everyone,

I am back again and this time it is
        Christmas in the kitchen/dining room,
along with my red & white transferware.

A red and white transferware tablescape
                                                                        is set  for dinner.
I have a lot of my red and white
transferware on display all year
in the dining area of our kitchen.

Yard sale and thrifty cupboards
display my transferware.

The Christmas tree in the bay
                                                                             window again this year.

My transferware is a mix of
old and new as well as patterns.

We had the two cupboards built in
about 12 years ago and they are
perfect for storing and displaying
my red and white transferware.

I confess I love all transferware so
I have smaller collections of other
colors as well but that is another day!

                                                                  Do you collect transferware too?

                                                                           Thank you for visiting!

A Woodland Christmas

      Hello everyone,

I hope you had a great weekend.
         Our Christmas house tour went
well and I think everyone enjoyed
visiting all the homes on the tour.

I am happy to have the decorating
done and  to be able to curl up
and enjoy it.

In our bedroom I went with
a bit of a woodland Christmas
theme.
I love these reindeer.

It is a cozy place to enjoy
a cup of tea or a book.

The stockings are hung

With Christmas approaching fast I will
try to share  a little of Christmas throughout
our home before it is here and gone!

                                                                                  Thank you for stopping by!

Christmas in our Library

                                                                        Hello everyone,

On these short days I am enjoying
the coziness of all the Christmas
lights. There is something nice about
being at snug at home on these long
                                                         evenings.
                                                                     There isn't a lot different
in this room since last year.
Snuggle in and enjoy a cup
of tea....maybe read for
awhile.

                                                                    The tea is ready.
My Christmas decorating is pretty much
done so I will enjoy doing some baking for the
season next. So, what about you are you all
                                                      ready to enjoy the season?
                                                                           Thank you for stopping by!

Warm & Cozy Fireside Tea

                                                                           Hello everyone,

I hope you had a great weekend. We
enjoyed a lovely family evening at
our daughters On Saturday. She has
her home all decorated for Christmas....
maybe,I can take some photos of it
                                                            some day soon to share.
However, back here at home we
have changed our family room somewhat
as our old fireplace broke down and could
not be fixed so we bought a new propane
stove to keep us warm. We went with a more
rustic look in here this time as my husband put
cedar plank boards on the wall behind it after
removing the old wall behind the fireplace.
It is still a work in progress as he is adding
a mantle soon and some trim but I am loving
the cozy look as well as the warmth.

I am enjoying my tea by the fireside
                                                                    today.

I am still waiting for some snow here
but the weather remains above seasonal.

We cut our own spruce tree for
the family room this year and
I think it's imperfections lend
rustic country charm.

Not sure if you noticed the old
antique frame $5 from the Restore
with the antique skates inside.

It was overcast when I took
these shots so my light isn't great.
When we get a sunny day I will
                                                                      do the whole room.
I am putting up one more tree in our kitchen
today and then I just have some fluffing to do.
After, I bake some cookies I should be ready for
the Christmas House Tour on Saturday finally!
I am sure there are still tickets available if you
check at Fitzroy Centre in Charlottetown.

Last evening we enjoyed the Advent service in a charming
little country church and this evening we are going to the
annual Christmas Open House at Fanningbank .
I love taking in as many Chritmas events as we can but
not so many that we don't have time to enjoy relaxing
                                                            by the fireside!

                                                                                              Thank you for visiting,
                                                                                                               Carolyn

I hope your week is going well.

winter day.

                                                                         day for that matter.
