Garden Statuary

Hello everyone,
As most of you know I love gardening and anything to do with gardens. So,one of the additions to gardens that I love is statues so over the years we have collected a few to place in our garden. The statue above is placed in our enclosed garden with a mirror behind her. The mirror is in a shady spot so that the sun does not reflect off it which can be a fire hazzard. There are vines that grow around it and ostrich ferns on the side of it
Now you might notice that our statues get moved around from year to year so this is the original statue called Martha's that really belongs in here. She is a locally made cement statue from J&S in Albany.
Another locally made statue from J&S

Love that face!
As you can see they do get moved  to different settings.

This statue is a lighter resin one from Wal Mart-easier to move but not as durable.

This  angel statue was a Mother's Day gift to me last year from my children.

This is one of my favorite setting in the garden last year-I am looking forward to it's rebirth.

I think a well placed statue adds so much charm to a garden-don't you?

Thank you for visiting me,

Carolyn

  3. You do have some beautiful statues in your garden Carolyn! You have the space to make them stand out and look good. I would love to have one in my garden too, but it's simply too small and not stylish enough :-)! Perhaps a small frog or hare would do!

    Have a lovely day!

  5. I just love your statues. They make a whole difference in the garden. I had ONE small boy in one of my flower beds and now someone has stolen it. I'm so dissapointed and sad about that.
Hope you have a nice day over there.

  8. Your statues are so beautiful and look lovely in amongst the blooms! It still amazes me that spring, especially in your garden, brings so much gorgeous colour and greenery after the dullness of early spring and the snows of winter. Pamela

  14. Great quality statues made near you. Nothing like that near me.

Removed all my garden mirrors. Birds were flying into them & dying. Even after a fake snake was put up.

Have a lovely hand-carved statue, quite old, inside my house. Named her, Rose. She's too dear to be trusted outside.

    Happy Spring.

  29. I love statues in the garden, too, and each of yours is a beauty.

I have one I've been wanting for about two years, and I can only find it at one location. It is more than I want to spend, but I believe I might as well do it since I can't find it anywhere else.
