Tea and Scones

It is a wet and windy day here today so it is cozy to be indoors. We even have our wood pellet stove going to take the dampness out of the air.It is hard to believe that some of you are still getting hot weather. Anyway, it is time for a cup of tea - can you join me?

I made some cranberry orange scones and they are still warm.

I like mine with some whipped cream and homemade peach preserves.

Today,I used some brown and white transferware dishes with my cream tea cups. The little teapot came from Winner's.

I hope you enjoyed our tea and scones.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. That looks so good Carolyn! I've never made peach preserves but I think I'll give plum a try. Our neighbour has a plum tree and has some plums to share.

  9. Carolyn, I just know you made those scones for me! Peach is my favorite flavor for tea and for adding little dried pieces to my scones...do you use the dries, or fresh? Your brown and white transferware is beautiful and perfect for a cool autumn day. Lovely, lovely, lovely!
    Blessings to you,

    Mary

  13. I did indeed enjoy my snack! But I enjoyed mine in the heat. It is still t-shirts and shorts weather here. And terribly muggy. I think we're going to get a little change soon. And it will certainly be welcome!

  23. Hi Carolyn, I enjoyed your tea and scones. Your scones looks different from our scones, but very tasty! Your preserve looks delicious as well. I have opened one of my jars of gooseberry preserve this week. I made it in the summer. It is a bit sour, but tastes healthy. I think it will be fine with some scones or sweet bread.

Have a good weekend! Lieve groet, Madelief
