  6. Carolyn, such a gorgeous shade of blue, It looks like you bought the tea pot to go with the hydrangea, or grew the hydrangea to go with the tea pot. You know the old saying which came first? The tea pot or the hydrangea. This is gorgeous as always.

  10. What gorgeous blues!!! The transferware is so pretty. The pictures here at your place are always such a delight to my eyes.
I do deadhead the roses. I didn't get to them last year like I had previous years and it ended up being a good lesson to me because I always wondered if it made a difference and it truely did. Last year the second flush wasn't nearly as good as this years and in previous years. I guess I'll be doing it every summer.
I do fertilize the roses. I also compost them almost every year. I use any bloom boost that I can get affordably. It's usually Rose Pride.
Thank you for your sweet note. Oh yes, I would definitly be at your garden on a daily basis if I lived near you.
    Hugs,
    June

  12. There is nothing prettier IMO than blue and white china! Hydrangeas may be a close second, however!

  14. Your blue dishes are so pretty... I am a big fan of blue too! And all your flowers are a breath of fresh air! Here in the south, August heat has beaten back the blooms of all my flowers except the tall phlox and the Autumn Joy sedum. However, the weeds in my garden are doing great; I spent a couple of cooler days last week getting them under control.

  16. Carolyn, you are just too much! I don't even like blue, but your blue flowers and tea set are beautiful. The teapot reminds me a an English lady wearing a hat on her head, tipping it slightly as she sips tea...I love it...may I ask the maker and pattern? I would love to find one like it...and start a blue collection!

  18. I always love blue hydrangeas. They keep coming up with new ones with different colors, but the old fashion blue are timeless. Your photos truly show it!

  21. Hi again, Carolyn. Thanks for letting me know about the teapot...I'll check ebay and just keep my eye open for it. I only have one other blue and white teapot, the Franciscan Blue Denmark, and would love for it to have company. Have a wonderful week!
