Rose Garden Tea

I hope you are enjoying these summer
days. We are having some hot summer
weather here .The roses in our cottage
garden are in full bloom and their fragrance
                                                             and beauty are so delightful.

There is a long hedge of these hardy roses
that give a sense of enclosure to our little
                                                       seaside cottage.

It is the perfect spot to enjoy
our afternoon tea.

A long row of lupins are in bloom
on the other side of the cottage..

The bouquet of peonies is from our garden at home
where the peonies are in full bloom..

Well, I am home now to enjoy our garden at
home and do some garden chores .

Just a reminder that we have an "open garden"
here in Warren Grove this Wednesday evening
from 6 to 8 pm....rain or shine and all are welcome
to come and tour the garden and the Gardener's Cottage
                                                           as well as the Boathouse.

                                                                                      Have a wonderful weekend!

                                                                                                   Carolyn

Carolyn, I can't tell you how your garden has inspired me! My husband and I are renovating a 100-year-old craftsman house, and slowly but surely, the back yard is becoming a cottage garden. It's pretty bare right now, but your photos encourage me that the results will be incredible.

It is all just gorgeous! I can imagine the fragrance that you get when sitting in the rose garden... must be Heavenly! How do you keep it all watered???? or do you have to water there? Love the lupine.... it used to grow wild when I lived in SE Washington State.. even though it was a dry climate, they loved it and got really tall. Thank you so much for your lovely photos and sharing.....hugs.. Marilyn

So beautiful. I am afraid that my garden is wilting! 100's yesterday, today and no end in sight. Blazing hot here is the western US...literally blazing...wildfires all around.
