Soft Aqua

                Hello everyone,

We are welcoming in  the month of May
with some warm sunny days and finally
the first stirrings of life in the garden.

A little spring vignette in the porch.

I seem drawn to soft aqua this
time of year. The platter above was
a thrift find and the bowl was from
                                                                 Winner's.
    Aqua teacups and teapot.

Last years peonies in an old
                    wooden bucket I painted soft
aqua..

           Peonies in the boathouse.

The teapot  and teacup were also
from Winner's.

I am really looking forward to
both peony and lilac season.
This was taken last year in
the boathouse nook.

Well, I am happy to say that I can
finally go out and clean up Martha's
Garden as the snow has finally melted.
in there. We are a few weeks behind
other years but better late then never!

Hope you have a lovely day!

                                                                                 Carolyn

How beautiful!
I'm also drawn to aqua lately.
I had seen the same bowls at Marshall's.

Your images are gorgeous, Carolyn! I am always drawn to aqua whether it be a wall colour, a pretty blouse, or tea things. Glad you can get out and attend to your Martha's garden! Have a lovely day.

Blessings,

Lovely! You certainly were fortunate to find that aqua platter in the first photo. It's part of a set from Pier 1 that was discontinued. I have the tea set & dessert plates but not the platter.
I'm very drawn to this pallette in the last few years it's so cheerful and still soothing.

Beautiful 'aqua' photos! It is one of my favourite colours. I'm glad PEI is finally getting some warmth and sunshine. It's 25 here this afternoon! A summer day almost. You must be very busy in the gardens right now. Enjoy.

I love the aqua too. Especially the old bucket that you painted filled with peonies. This is the time of year I would love to clone you. lol I think that next to all the lovely flowers in everybody's garden there needs to be a Carolyn! And I think that all the flowers would agree.
Hugs

I'm sure you'll be in your garden as much as possible to get things in order for another year of beauty and guests.
I wanted to let you know that I will at long last have flowers on my lilac 'Beauty of Moscow' that I ordered after seeing yours and falling in love with the colour.
It was mail order so came as a couple of twigs in a pot but it's grown tall enough that the rabbits couldn't eat it back this winter and I can't wait to see the flowers.
Happy Gardening Carolyn.
