A Spot of Tea

I hope you all had a lovely weekend ~ it was a good one here. It seems like awhile
since I was able to join in for Tea Time so I am happy to be able to join once again.
I will soon be doing Christmas teas etc. but today it is a soft Autumn tea. Did you notice
the pretty brown and white transferware pitcher ~ I love it!
The pillow is one I made last year from an old sweater, it has a warm cozy look for the                                fall and winter.

I have been gathering spruce cones from the woods.
I love these bayberry branches too.

The chaise has a new fall look too with some faded linens.
With the sleeve from the sweater I made a few hearts- waste not, want not ( so my                                   parents always said). The tea cup and teapot came from Winners (tjmaxx in U.S.)

Isn't it nice to enjoy a spot of tea on these cooler Autumn days?

I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday.

Thank you for visiting,

     Carolyn

You have to come and visit my blog. I have the same teapot, but I have a mug instead of a cup. Love your post.

I am not in a hurry to give up Autumn just yet, either, Carolyn.

Your soothing relaxing tea on the chaise - with your gorgeous sweater pillow and heart is beautiful.

I love that transferware pitcher!

Hello Carolyn,
It's lovely to have you join me once again for Tea Time! I do love your soft brown and cream transferware. Betty shared the same teapot and a mug instead of the teacup. Love your pitcher too. There's just something about transferware, isn't there? It doesn't seem to matter what the colour is either, although I do try to collect the red, as I know you do too. Your sweater pillow and heart are so cozy and perfect for Autumn and Winter time. Thank you for sharing.

Blessings,
Sandi

I laughed because I say "waste not - want not" all the time. What a lovely tea setting there and pretty vase with branches!

I was lucky enough to join dear Carolyn for Tea today, however we enjoyed her homemade hot apple cider in the most beautiful cup and gingerbread and homemade whipped cream on a matching plate. We sat by the fire and chatted and I commented how she should have a scratch and sniff on her blog as her home smells as beautiful as it looks. Thanks again for a wonderful day.

A cozy autumn tea and I like the pillow and hearts made from the old sweater. Aren't you clever! Yes, we grew up not wasting anything, including the waxed paper I took my sandwich to school in. It had to be used twice, so I was told, before throwing out.

My grandmother, who was from the Island, used to say "There's always something to keep the rabbit's tail short". This blog is the only place on the whole World Wide Web that I could find that exact phrase!

Your pictures are fantastic.
