A Perfect Summer Day

                                                         Hello everyone,
It was a perfect summer day here sunny with a gentle breeze and
low humidity. We had our last tour from Japan yesterday for awhile
so I took some time to enjoy one of my favorite passtimes.....doing a little
styling for a photo shoot for you!
I bought the above chairs along with 2 others and a nice table for $25. at a
yardsale last week. Now,they didn't look like this as I gave them a couple of c
coats of paint -they were brown before.

This past Saturday Sobey's Garden Center closed for the season,
so they had 75% off everything! I bought the new watering can
and the pretty geranium above along with a few other things to
perk up a few planters etc. I love those sales but can't believe that the
season for these little garden centers is already over...wasn't it just
yesterday they opened for the season????
I love how well they co-ordinate with the vintage tablecloth that I had for several  years.

Our screened porch was a lovely spot to be today.

I really enjoyed my day and I hope you did too!

I also did a pretty tablescape today. ...coming soon!!!

Thank you for visiting and welcome to my new followers and thank you
to my long term friends as well-I appreciate your visits.

I think the best way to end my perfect day is to relax with
my sweet husband by our pond for awhile- See you!

                                                                      Take care,
                                                                               Carolyn

What fun - so much lovely colour!

The changes to those chairs is amazing - looks awesome.

So glad you had perfect weather, we have had very little of that this summer. Glad you enjoyed it - and yet shared a little of it with us, too.

Thanks!

Hi Carolyn,

It IS exciting to decorate with new purchases, isn't it? Your painted chairs, pretty flowers and watering can are perfect complements to that petaled tablecloth. I could sit in this porch and just stare at all the sweetness! Charming, as always!

Wow Carolyn, I wouldn't have thought aqua and red would look so good together. I didn't see any bargains when our Sobeys garden centre closed but must say I like their black earth top soil bags the best of any of the stores.

Love the new tableset, painted blue, too!

Everything looks super, Carolyn. Wow, the red watering can, the geraniums, everything.

Do you have any mosquitoes there? I cannot bear to go outside near water here because of getting bitten. Maybe you don't have them there? Of, if you do, how do you keep them from attacking you? Susan

Oh those two colors together are just lovely and with those coral geraniums...yummy!! Beautiful spot, can't believe your garden center is closing already...what happened to all the fall plantings??

I'm loving the turquoise chairs and the red accents in your porch. It looks perfectly summery there. The tablecloth is so pretty. It is hard to believe some of the garden centres are closed although the greenhouses are still selling perennials and a few annuals around here. Great for late season gardeners. Blessings. Pam

Carolyn,

The colors in this post are so much more vibrant than your usual posts, but just as beautiful. You have a marvelous hand at styling.

I love red so that red watering can would definitely have gotten my attention, especially on sale! :D Why do flowers always look so pretty in those blue Mason jars? It is so refreshing to pop over here to your blog for garden visits!
Hugs and enjoy the weekend,
