Feminine Details

                                                                 Hello everyone,

It is still very cold here but in a couple more days it is supposed to be back to normal winter temperatures. I love how the days are getting longer though and the sun always seems warmer by February.
The theme for the day is soft and feminine details. I love this vintage soft pink hat above-reminds me of a pretty wedding cake.
The soft dusty pink vase with  a pretty necklace holds a bouquet of cream roses.

Little ballet slippers with creamy roses.
Playing in photoshop with a vintage layer for a soft and dreamy look.
                                                   A basket full of posies.
A pretty hat, sheer gloves, pearls and an old beaded purse-I'm ready for afternoon tea are you?
I hope these pretty feminine details warm your heart a little on this cold ,frosty day!

I am joining My Romantic Homes for Show and Tell Friday.

                   Thank you for visiting,

                    Carolyn

Lovely post, Carolyn. That pillbox hat is simply dreamy! Oh the ladies sure knew how to be lovely back then, didn't they?

Come on by and see my new mittens my daughter made me out of old sweaters!

It definately has been bitter cold for SURE!

I love the pink hat! I can see a woman in the 50's wearing it to tea or church. Pretty photos.

Very pretty shade of pink, Carolyn! You're right, the hat does remind me of a cake. Love the necklace you have draped around the vase.

Love the soft shades of pink Carolyn! Isn't it lovely to see the sun stay longer? Even if it is so cold! I have a houseplant flower picture over at my blog and I don't know the name - but I'm sure you will. Thanks!! xo

What a dreamy post, Carolyn. I especially love the hat, vase, and gorgeous necklace ... and of course how you put it all together in your beautiful photos. (I keep your blog in my Favorites at the office so that I can sneak a peek even if I don't have time to go through my own blogroll.) Absolutely love your blog! Bess

Beautiful things you are showing us today. I too love that hat. Sure looks like a cake, lol.
Here we have finally gotten some warmer temps. Not the -22 C we had yesterday. Brrr!
Hope you have a nice weekend.

Lovely rose feeling on your blog, dear Carolyn, I love it, because rose is my absolute favourite.
Now we have snow again and the temperature is very deep, but there will be warmer next week, I hope so.
With best wishes for a nice weekend, cornelia

What a pretty frothy hat. Your post is very feminine and reminds me of days gone by. I'm enjoying seeing the longer days too. Pretty soon we can start thinking about Spring again! Have a nice weekend.
