Garden Bouquets

Hello everyone,
I have some pretty bouquets from the garden today but that is about all for today.
I have been enjoying spending some time with friends and family and gave my camera a little break.

We had 16 of our family for dinner last evening so I set up out on the veranda as it was a beautiful warm day. I picked some flowers for the table early in the morning before it was time for food prep.

The purple pavement roses have some blooms again and they look pretty in my new (old) vase.
I love the scented stocks in this beautiful old pitcher.

The old vintage teapot on my chippy old green highchair-a recent find.

We just got 55 mm  of rain   (2.16 inches) and I am thrilled to get it as we really needed it.

Hope all is well with you and thanks for stopping by.

Carolyn

Pardon my ignorance...why are they called purple pavement roses?

Lindos jarros decorados. Como é bom estar em família e preparar com carinho as refeições.

Bom final de semana Carolyn.

Beautiful flowers. It's a pity you can't take them all inside. The smell of the phloxes (is that the right name?) is so strong I can hardly breath. So I enjoy them outside instead!
Take care and have a nice day.

Your bouquets look stunning, Carolyn! I love them all together too. We got some much needed rain in recent days, too, and supposedly it is to be less humid. We shall see. I want to decorate for Fall but the temps make it difficult for me to start!

Wow, 16 for dinner?! That is a lot of cooking and cleaning Carolyn! Your table and arrangements look fab as usual!

Sometimes I get tired and just don't feel like doing anything other than what I have to. Then I will look at your blog and see how pretty it is and get motivated to do the same. Beauty is so very important and we need more of it in our everyday lives. Thanks again for your motivation to bring beauty.

It's a little beautiful break that sheers you up. Lovely flowers!
And ... that's the vintage green teapot I like to have in the collection ... a beauty with the wild rose, annabel hortensia and 'duizendschoon' as we call it.
Greetings Diana

Alright, I'm back with a gorgeous salad - the cherry tomatoes from my garden are really good with the maple, mustard dressing - yum! and I'm still scrolling through before I'm off for my evening walk. These bouquets are very, very pretty and, you know, I always love those pastel, kind of creamy greens, blues on pitchers, teapots, etc. It sets off the flowers so beautifully and I feel a tinge jealous but, you know, I was really encouraged to hear how long you've been building your little kingdom here. I just need to keep plodding along and things will come together! =]

Okay, I'm off to read some more. =] I hope that this isn't too disjointed. I feel like I'm sitting and visiting with you... and the conversation is continuing on.... =]
