Holiday Cheer

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I shared some of my white Christmas photos from different rooms in our home but today is a warm and cozy look, also from our home.

This is our library/dining room that got a makeover a couple of years ago.

I can't seem to settle on liking just one look so I have a bit of a mix-probably a decorating no-no but it works for me! Once again,I must confess that these photos are last years or the year before.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend,

Carolyn

Dear Carolyn,

Sorry for catching up with you all the time, but November and December are always such busy, but Happy months :-)!

I love the warm glow of your house. Hope I will see it all for real one day. You look beautiful in your all white outfit, and those light blue snow cookies.....perhaps I will try them out too!

Hope your Christmas tour around the house and garden was a success?!

I hope your mother is well? I will send her and you a magazine soon. I hope it will make her happy.

Wish you a happy weekend!

Tons of inspiration here Carolyn, and its ok that it is from your personal files of years past! Still beautiful~I like to see them captured with all the lights, it is the twinkling that makes Christmas decorating so magical.

Your home looks so lovely and inviting. If I lived in your home I would not get anything done as I would be too busy sitting in the wonderfully decorated spaces and daydreaming as I enjoyed a cup of tea. I would love to see the Island all lit up for the holidays...
Enjoy your weekend and I hope you are getting some of the warmer weather too, we are getting +5 this weekend and it is usually -15 by now so you would be allot warmer on the Island. Take care.

Hi Carolyn,
Thank you for posting your beautiful Christmas decor, you are really inspiring me and making it feel like Christmas.
If i were there i would make you a nice cup of tea and plump your cushions near the fire as you so deserve a rest of all that hard work.

Oh Carolyn - your home is just utterly amazing. I can't stop looking at your photos. I still say that you should publish a book with four chapters in it. One for each of the seasons at Aiken House & Gardens. You could share how you discovered it on your beautiful island, how you redid it, what it looks like during the seasons, and share photos of PEI......I'd certainly buy a copy! :)

So warm and inviting - I love every one. I must confess too. I mix and match styles - maybe the don't match! My Christmas tree in the dining room this year is all white and gold - however, the room has touches of red and green too. Your home looks marvelous!
I hope you have a blessed day,
Kathy
