A Lazy Summer Afternoon Tea

Hello Everyone,
We had our garden tour on the weekend and it was a perfect day for it as the weather was lovely and everyone seemed to enjoy leisurely wandering around the garden and  cottage.Unfortunately, a Women's Institute  tour on Monday evening got rained out -we had a downpour yesterday!
So now I plan to take a lazy day and enjoy a cup of tea and some time to read in our little garden cottage.

A small bouquet by the cottage door.

I like the peacefulness of the collage above . The statue above is in a Prayer Garden not far from here.

Yesterday was a pretty exciting day for me as I met a fellow blogger Linda from Beautiful Ideas for the first time. Linda(from Newfoundland)
is a very warm and lovely person and we had a great visit with her and her husband. It is almost uncanny how much Linda and I love the same things-her husband says we are sisters separated at birth. We hope to get together a couple more times as they are here until Thursday, touring all my favorite places. Isn't it wonderful -all the benefits of blogging?

I am joining Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday and also Trish at Sweetology for her Tea with Friends party.

I hope you have a wonderful day too!

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn
Your restful tea is perfect for the day we're having - a much needed gentle rain with no change to clear up in sight.
How nice you were able to get together and enjoy the company of another blogger from a different province.
Glad you had good weather for your tour, I know how much rain PEI has been getting from the family that just returned from there.

I'm glad your garden tour was a success and too bad about the rained out one. Today is gorgeous but I guess we have 3 more days of rain coming before the weekend. How nice to meet a fellow blogger! I must look her blog up. Your photos are gorgeous in your little cottage. Have a wonderful day! Pam

Hi Carolyn,

It must be nice meeting fellow bloggers! I have planned a tea in our garden for some bloggers from Rotterdam. Looking forward to it very much.

So sorry to hear one of your garden tours was a wet one. Nevertheless, I think they will have enjoyed your garden very much! It all looks so lovely and romantic.

Lieve groet,

Madelief x

Hello Carolyn,
Sorry I missed your tour on Sunday. We had just gotten home from our trip to NB.
I had to smile when I saw the rose in the crystal holder as I did that too for my post and then changed my mind and did the petal thing instead. Roses are such fun and beautiful posies to work with, aren't they?
I would love to have a cup of tea in your darling little cottage. So serene.
How nice that you got to meet Linda. Thanks for joining me today and enjoy the rest of your evening.

Blessings,
Sandi

It is uncanny how we can meet people over the internet who really do have a lot in common with us. That is one of the wonderful benefits of blogging.
I have met a couple of ladies like that. One of them I met and she is more than 20 years older than me, but it makes no difference. We have so much in common. I love it.
Your photos are lovely, dear lady.
Hugs, Cindy

I love your blog. I am so glad I found you.
I love the music too, but I cannot figure out how to put it on my blog. If you don't mind telling me, I would like to know the link or server that you are using to host your music.
