Beach Days

Hello again,
We have finally had some nice summer weather here so we packed up and headed to the beach a few days ago as we realize that the time for enjoying the beach will all too soon be gone for another year.
We have so many beautiful beaches here on the Island.
Our grandchildren also enjoyed a day at the beach.
This is Northport and was taken a few years ago but it is on my wish list to go back again soon.
A picnic at the beach is always a treat,
And of course, a trip to the beach on a summer evening to watch the sun go down is the perfect way to end a day!
Well, now I think we should head to the beach to watch that beautiful sun go down!

I am joining Hakan for Show off Saturday-pop in and see his beautiful roses and also the other lovely blogs that joined in.

Hope all goes well for all on the east coast as Hurricane Irene passes through.

Take care,

Carolyn

Hi, Carolyn!

Love the beach pics today! The little ones looked to be having good fun! I escaped for a little while. SMILE.

I can taste your peach pie - And, what kind of muffins are those - they look like they may have a sweet touch of coconut. YUM. Let me know when your recipe book comes out!!! LOL

And, anyone selling beachwear on PEI, should hook up with you, m'dear for a photo shoot!!!

Thanks for the mention yesterday. I'm glad you're liking the posts on your garden - there's more to come...

Hugs,
Linda

PEI has such beautiful beaches. I haven't been on a beach this year at all. Last year I was on several. Maybe I can change that before the beach season is completely gone. Gorgeous photos! I think we're in for a LOT of rain here from Irene. I'm not happy as the ground is pretty saturated now. Have a great weekend! Pamela

Such beautiful pictures and arrangements. Today it was so beautiful here in Maryland you would never know there is a storm out there.

Lovely pictures. We're still dreaming of summer to come, it has been raining so much in Holland this summer, sometimes it looks like fall.

Hi Carolyn
Only you could make a trip to the beach look so elegant. I love the netting that fits over your umbrella and real china, my what what a treat.
The kids like to play in the sand and water for hours, don't they?
Have a nice weekend.

Your tent with the gauze netting looks so pretty, did you make it or does it come like that? I am waiting on Irene, and enjoyed a beach day myself last Thursday, the last one of the summer I am afraid.

Carolyn said...

Hi Amy,
I bought the beach tent at a thrift shop in Maine for a few dollars and Love having it for a day at the beach.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Take care,
Carolyn

I agree with Hakan, you're the best Carolyn.
I did not visit your blog recently because I have been travelling a lot.
