Gentle Pinks

Hello everyone,

I hope you are enjoying the sunshine, as it seems to have escaped us again, and it is remaining cool also.As a gardener, I love how long the blossoms are lasting though. Last spring was a lot warmer, and drier ,and the blooms did not last half as long as this year. So it is true, behind every cloud there is a silver lining!
I have a few soft pinks to share with you for Pink Saturday.
The appleblossoms are so pretty right now- I love to see the wild ones blooming in the hedgerows along the farm fields.
This rose impatients is just so pretty.
The pansy looks so charming in the pretty planter my sister sent me. It came from Ikea in Vancouver.
We have had a few sunny warm days,--  here that meant it was time for the pink lemonade .

I am joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for PS again today and also Haken for Show off Saturday at The Rose Garden in Malevik.

Thank you to all of you who left such sweet comments on our garden photos being included in the Summer book from Norway -you are always so supportive!

I hope you all have a wonderful relaxing weekend,

Carolyn

such beautiful pinks!! i just love the swirl of the rose impatience. it is hard to believe that it is "cool" anywhere on this planet, since we are suffering from the heat and humidity of the mid-90's. it is way too early for this heat.....ug. it makes gardening a very sweaty bussiness, indeed.

happy weekend,
erin

Very pretty pinks Carolyn. Have you seen the new petunia colours this spring? I bought a couple and once they're planted will post pictures. It certainly is chilly here too! I hope to be potting plants this afternoon. Pamela

Pink in any shade is great, but your "gentle pinks" are each a "ooh and ahh" photo.

Dearest Carolyn,

What a lovely pink pastels you have right now. It is so true that with the climate you have at present, it's the best environment for your flowers. We too can see differences in photos from year to year of a certain flower.
Love the rose impatients! And of course the apple blossom is lovely; we can't grow them here.

Lots of love,

Mariette

Dear Carolyn,

I am happy you can see your cool weather from the sunny side. It does have its advantages indeed! We had a warm day today, which I partially spend in the garden of a fellow blogger 'Fleur' from 'In the polder'. She has a most beautiful garden! I think you will like it too!

Happy weekend & lieve groet,

Madelief

Oh, I love apple blossoms and pink pansies. I had planed on working in the garden to day -I have lots to plant. However, we are having a freak rain and wind storm which is quite unusual for this time of year. Maybe later in the week....

Happy Pink Saturday, Carolyn. I am so glad you joined us today.

Congratulations on the book publication. I can imagine what a thrill it is that your beautiful home and gardens are included. What a treasure!

Your blooms are just gorgeous. It has been extremely hot here, and our blooms are scorching. I am already wanting a reprieve from the heat, and summer isn't even here yet.
