Ah!!! Summertime- Ten Things I Love About You!

Welcome summer! It seems we wait a long time for you and all the pleasures you offer us and I am so glad you are finally here.

Ah! Beach days-we have so many beautiful beaches here on the Island.
Love parties on the porch!
Abundance in the garden!
Love picking bouquets!
I love the touring the Island days my husband and I take whenever we can.
Who doesn't love a picnic?
I love peonies and roses and summer dresses.
I love watching the birds raise their families.
Balmy romantic summer nights.

And beautiful Island sunsets!

Now, these are a few of my favorite things about summer! What about you -are we kindred spirits as our Anne of Green Gables would say..Speaking of Anne- did you all know the Royals-William and Kate are coming to Prince Edward Island in July. Apparently Kate is an Anne fan too. So, lots of things to look forward to.

Oh! The joys of summer!!!

I am joining Kathy at A Delightsome Life for her Savoring Summer Party. I am looking forward to seeing how  you all savor summer.

Hope you summer is wonderful!

Carolyn

Wonderful photos. Canada is on top of my list of countries to visit... And I think it will be easy to convince my husband to go, as he´s all in to fishing!
Have a nice summer ;-)

Hello Carolyn

Your photographs are stunning, as is the place where you live.

I particularly love the idea of the insect tent. Here, just when the evenings turn warm and balmy and we want to linger out in the garden, we are chased indoors by biting bugs. So, I will borrow your idea if I may.

Have a wonderful summer
Anna

Summer looks heavenly on your beautiful island. I love all of your collages. You captured it all and left us all wanting more. How exciting to have such royal guests coming. I am currently in London for a week and I have been told to bring home all the royal wedding trinkets I can so I have packed a suitcase inside a suitcase. lol
Enjoy your summer. One day I will visit your island!

This surely must be Pixie Land, Carolyn! Have you ever seen evidence of Tinker Bell amongst your flower blooms?! LOL

I am off to Slumberland dreaming of Island days - and nights. I am in love with your romantic evenings mosaic! To help me drift off, I will imagine I am upon that fluffy bed settled in under the sumptuous lengths of tulle netting - and, oooh the candle-lit chandelier is dreamy. Thank you for a good night's slumber, my friend...

Linda

Carolyn, your photos are a dream. You have captured Summer so well and I cannot wait till she decides to show up here! She sure is late coming this year. My roses are still in tight buds and don't want to open up. I guess I don't blame them because it is so cold here. We're still trying to get our annuals in but we are having trouble with the crows. They have broken off all our Astilbes; very upsetting!! Hubby is very cross at the feathered bandits. Hope you have a lovely day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Ah, yes we are kindred spirits. I have loved Anne with an "e" since I was a young girl. I've always dreamed of going to Prince Edward Island, and I do intend to make it there some day.

And you, dear Carolyn, by sharing your beautiful home, make it all as I have envisioned.
