A Review of Past Favorite Tablescapes


Hello everyone,

   Today I thought I would share some of my past tablescape favorites with you. The one above is a romantic afternoon tea during lilac season in our garden.

A summer brunch on the porch where our daughter and granddaughter are checking out the choices.

 A Sunday morning breakfast with two of  my grandsons after a sleepover.

A summer afternoon tea with my good friend Heather(on the left).

A beach picnic near our home.

 Another family brunch day.
Afternoon tea for my girls and the little ones on the veranda.


Tea with lilacs.
The three little cousins are having tea last summer.. It was a good year as 3 new grandchildren 5 years ago. now.

Lemonade in the garden anyone?

or maybe breakfast in the sunroom?
Afternoon tea with guests.
or how about a romantic candlelight dinner?

Can't forget Christmas by candle light.

or you could laze around in the hammock with a tall glass of pink lemonade.

Autumn snack in the garden.

I do look forward to those lazy beach days again,don't you?


.I did enjoy this white tea in the little garden cottage though too. Hm! not sure which one is my favorite-what about you-do you have a favorite?

I did enjoy a look at some past favorites and I hope you did too!

    Your table scapes are just beautiful, Carolyn! I remember some of them... some I haven't seen before. I love the first picture, the one on the dock, and the one under the pergola with the twinkle lights... all so pretty!

    I'm so predictable and was so drawn to the last all white table, but it is wonderful to see a selection like this all so very beautiful! You have such a sense of theater with your beautiful things. I'm crazy about the crocheted cloth in the early beach picture, and the last round one. Such a good reminder that time really does pass so fast, and we'll see spring and summer again in no time!

    Oh I love all your table settings, they all seem so romantic. I am drawn to the white cottage setting as my favourite though. I think it's a combination of dogs and a large garden that makes me wistful when ever I see a white room, it's something that in practice I could never have.

    Dear Carolyn, I could happily step into either one of these enchanting scenes. I am amazed at your culinary talent as well as that of being a wizard with romantic settings. Every detail is breathless. Your grandchildren are precious! I suppose the beach scene would be utterly perfect! I love your solution for biting insects. Pure delight to visit your world.

    The most beautiful part of your pictures is your beautiful family and the pricless memories you are giving them.
    I literally almost cried when I saw that you had commented and followed my blog. You are the Martha Stewart, Oprah, of the blogging world to me. My store and antique shop are very country, but in my home and personal life I'm a dripping romanitic victorian girl.
    We visited Prince Edward Island 9 years ago and it was one of the most beautiful places that I had ever been. Your beautiful photos and graceful charm just embody everything that I remember about PEI.

    Oh Carolyn! I feel so relaxed just looking at your photos...especially the ones with the beach but I think my favourite one is the photo with the hammock. I've never been out east but hope to make it there some day soon! Sure looks beautiful!

    I feel calmed down after looking at your pictures. YOu certainly have the tea and brunch perfected. Do you do your own gardening? stunning. I know it's a tremendous amount of work, and such a joyful hobby.

    Well I think the green wicker chairs in the garden could be my favorite..but the last white picture was heavenly too...the romance of the shot of you sitting in the tent on the beach was really great!

    It's funny that you would ask that question at the end of your post, Carolyn. :) While I was reading and soaking in your beautiful photos, I was thinking, "Which one evokes the best emotion in me...?" I would have to say the candlelit dinner or the hammock. Stunning photos as usual, Carolyn. I still have a hard time believing you DON'T live in a fairytale story-book.... ♥

    Oh, Carolyn! I just discovered your blog from a pin on Pinterest and I wanted to tell you how over-the-moon I am about your gorgeously romantic photography and styling! Wow! - I see that you may have been inspired by Victoria magazine, but you have totally outdone them! I am swooning over all of the beauty and can't wait to see more. - The fact that you live on Prince Edward Island is just icing on the cake. Now I see why L.M.     It's so nicel how you lay the table beautifully (centerpiece, flowers...) even to have breakfast with small boys. Hope they reflect it when they grow up ;-)
