Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello everyone,

I wanted to take a minute today, to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends.

So of course, I have to share some photos with you too.

These are all shots from around the Island that I took last year. Click on any if you wish to enlarge.

Halloween fun

The photos above are of Knox's Dam and it is beautiful there in all seasons.

I hope you enjoyed seeing some Island Autumn splendor

We are having our family for a turkey dinner on Monday and we have our last two tours from Japan this week so I may be missing in action for a few days next week.

Anyway, to all my fellow Canadians" Happy Thanksgiving" and may you have lots to be thankful for!

Take care,

Carolyn

Dearest Carolyn,

Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Hope you enjoy this special family time and also enjoy your last Japanese groups next week. They are great gardeners, I learned that when I was over there in 2007 as chaperone of six students. I felt like being in my birth country; The Netherlands as they look in so many ways the same. Their homes are the same sizing, the same small bathrooms and economically set up kitchens, more energy conscious in every way... Roads are as narrow as back home and the gardens look as well tended too.
ENJOY and it is an honor that they come and visit your garden. Naturally you do have to show a lot and the hard work over the years pays off that way.

Sunny greetings from Georgia,

Carolyn, you have such a beautiful, beautiful home and on every photo we are allowed to look at we can see how much you love it!
I am a total sucker for sunshine too and you have captured it so stunningly. You could go straight into a house and garden magazine and if ever you should want to sell you just have to show people your blog and it will go within moments.... :) But of course nobody wishes to see you selling this dream place!!!!
Sorry to be late for the Canadian Thanksgiving Day; we have so many of them, in Switzerland (my native country) it's middle of September, than in some countries the 1st weekend in October, others the 2nd, and the last Sunday of November... Well, Thanksgiving is EVERYDAY for me as I am truly blessed by life!
THANK YOU for this most beautiful series of dreamy shots.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, my sweet Canadian friend. Your photos are so beautiful, just looking at them makes me choke up. We have a beautiful country and as I think about what I am thankful for, I have to count the fact that we live in a beautiful, free country. I am thankful for Canada.
Hugs, Cindy
