Be My Guest

Hello everyone,
We have had lots of lovely summer days and eating outdoors is one of my favorite things to do. So, a couple of weeks ago I planned a little lunch for our three daughters and daughter in law and eight of our grandchildren(one was at camp).
It wasn't fancy as I am not one to want to spend too much time in the kitchen in the summer. I live in the garden all summer.
I know there is great  tableware similar to mine at Amazon Tableware for coupons click here.

So, I made some egg salad sandwiches, tomatoe, cucumber and cheese croissant sandwiches, biscuits and strawberry cream cheese tarts. Some fresh fruit and we are all set!
Little Lila is ready to eat.
So grab a plate and help yourself everyone!
My oldest daughter Andrea is pouring the iced tea.
My daughter Jen has made us some lovely coconut cream pudding-thanks Jen it was a lovely end to our lunh.
Some of the little ones had their own tea party after lunch.
Abby hugs a baby.
Lila and her baby.
And some went out to jump on the trampleline after.
It was a lovely way to spend a summer day.
But you might rather have a few quiet moments on the hammock with a book and some lemonade so go ahead and be my guest!
Today, I am joining is with Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday where there are lots of beautiful tablescapes to see.
Thank you for visiting me today.
Carolyn

What a lovely afternoon. The spread of food looks fabulous.

How wonderful that your children and grandchildren live close enough that you can share days like that with them. We are far from family, so my kids have no grandparents nearby...a huge void in their lives...and a huge void for the grandparents so far away. We are hoping to move back to the South so that we may be close once more.

All the photos of your grandchildren are beautiful. I especially like the one (Abby, if I remember correctly) with the baby doll.

Blessings to you,
Patti

Dear Carolyn,

That was so lovely to watch all this about a happy lunch with your family! The company is even more important than the food... but you managed to have both in high quality!

The food looks as delicious as the grandchildren seem to be.
In summer, to have lunch outdoors is the most exciting and lovely thing to do! We do it as often as possible.
I wish you a nice weekend.

Your party looked lovely! Some great looking food and displayed so prettily....I love the pink flower patterned table cloth! The super cute pictures of the kids at their own little tea table is adorable!

I definitely would have dove straight into that hammock after lunch, with a book!

What a lovely lunch. And how nice the little ones were 'dressed up'. Having raised two boys I know how difficult is to get them into a collared shirt and out of the T-shirt. And the girls all looked so cute. Adorable.

Lovely! Gorgeous photos and food. Looks like you all had a wonderful time. My hubby just took my son and his family to the airport so I decided to bloghop a bit rather than sit around feeling lonesome.

Hello Carolyn :) What a wonderful and special day to spend with your children and your precious grandchildren. The food looks so delicious...I haven't made egg salad sandwiches in a while, and now I'm craving one :) How I would love to relax on your cozy hammock. Here in Michigan, today and the next 2 days are very hot and humid, so not good days for relaxing outdoors :(

Hope the rest of your week is wonderful :)

Warmest hugs, Brenda
