Let's Take a Stroll Through the Garden

Hello everyone,

It has been hot and sunny here lately(27 Celsius) and the garden is changing daily so I thought I would take you on a little stroll through the garden again. It seems I always have favorite places in the garden and lately I think this corner of the garden in the picket fence area is it.(above)

This is the other side of the picket fence garden.

Looking out the kitchen window at the garden makes doing dishes a pleasure.

The clematis are blooming in several parts of the garden.

The delphinium are starting to fade-but they are so pretty while they last.

The phlox is just starting to bloom-I have many varieties in different colors.

Lots of daylilies are blooming and the hydrangeas(these are Annabelles).

Annabelle and Jackmani clematis.

Clematis Abundance with Sally Holmes rose in background.

Annual poppy-reseeds profusely but easy to remove extras and so pretty.

Thalictrum delavayi 'Hewitts Double'

daylily and monkshood

Endless Summer hydrangea

Well, there is lots more to see but I will save that for another day.

Thank you for coming for a little stroll through the garden with me.

Take care,

Carolyn

Oh, I DO love your garden and wish that mine could look like yours, but I guess it'll never do. As long as my DH wants to be able to drive here and there I can't plant as I want, lol. But I watch and hopefully learn lots of things.

Just love the Thalictrum delavayi you have.
Hope you have a great day.

Just looking at your photos of your garden is so inspirational, but if I can be there that would be even more heavenly. Gosh, how beautiful it would be surrounded by all this loveliness.

You must have an automatic watering system - I can't imagine you water the garden yourself. Do you get water shortages over there? And what do you do if there are? (I've just come in from an hour's garden watering - it's 10.20pm - which made me ask. xx

Bernideen said...

Oh my! Simply divine!

Carolyn said...

Hi Andi,
No,we do not have a watering system but we are usually blest with enough rain here to keep the garden going and the grass green so I only water planters and windowboxes and maybe newly planted plants.Hopefully,we continue to get enough rain for the rest of the season!
Take care,
Carolyn

Thank you all for your lovely comments.

Caroline, yours is the kind of garden I dream about. How I'd love to have a garden like this. The TX heat doesn't allow such abundance though. Thanks for taking us along for a stroll. ~ Sarah

Wonderful images, Carolyn! It's really at its peak, isn't it! Your day lilies are magnificent – ours are just starting here, a bit late for some reason. And I simply adore Thalictrum – it's a true fairy plant. Thank you for the tour! – g

Hi Carolyn
Your garden is so wonderful, especially the delphiniums! My garden is such a mess. It's been in the 90s for weeks now.
