Delicate Beauty!

Hello everyone,
We are enjoying some lovely summer weather now and our little Island has been bursting with excitement the last few days with music concerts and the Kelly and Regis show being taped from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. I hope some of you have been watching them the last couple of days - there are still a couple of more shows to air yet. We are pretty happy that P.E.I. was the second most popular hit on google yesterday and are hoping you all want to come and visit us soon!
Anyway, today I wanted to share a few of our roses with you. The photo of the one above is Heritage a David Austen rose. I love it's delicate beauty.
The top rose is City of York but the bottom was unnamed.
Graham Thomas is the beautiful yellow rose.
Heritage, Graham Thomas and The Dark Lady(lovely strong fragrance) all David Austen roses
I am so happy to have little bouquets of roses to enjoy now that the lilacs and peonies are past. I have lots more photos of garden roses to share another day.
Hope everything is coming up roses for you too!
Take care,
Carolyn

Beautiful roses Carolyn, there are no words to describe their lovely color, I can only imagine their heavenly scent.
Yes I have been watching "Live" and enjoying the view of P.E.I. I am originally from Montreal and have visited the Atlantic provinces when I was young, someday I will return!
Wishing you a wonderful week...

Hi Carolyn! Oh, we caught Regis and Kelly this morning and I told Mr. Precious - this is where my friend Carolyn lives! It's so beautiful! I hope they'll come over to your gorgeous place! :)
You know what? We're taking a New England cruise in October and St. John is one of our stops for the day. Wouldn't it be great if we could meet?
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Stunning! the first one is so striking. Another beautiful post with flowers. I also loved the tour of your garden, anyone who loves to garden loves to have a peek at other people's gardens. I think you have such a nice climate for growing roses there.
Have a PINK day--I will be posting soon on Marie Antoinette garden the Petit Hameau don't miss it.

Thanks for sharing your David Austin roses with us. I only wish I could smell their wonderful scent. I am sad to say but an elk ate all my roses this year. It really makes me sad.

David Austin'roses are indeniably the most beautiful English roses but they have one defect : they are quite subject to desease like blackspots. But we forgive them because they have such strong perfume. I love them and I live with them long ago.

Is there anything you cannot grow, Miss Carolyn? Such lovely roses! My favorite is the white with the yellow spray center. So dramatic. But, of course, all the roses are beautiful.

Paris? London? No way. PEI is the only place I must visit before the Good Lord takes me home. Hope to make the trip sooner rather than later. :)
