Tea,a Gift and a Tearoom

Welcome and come in for a cup of tea.

Help yourself to a blueberry oat muffin and what a good day to curl up with a book-why don't you try this one A Redbird Christmas it has a nice gentle story and a thoughtful gift from my friend Jackie in the beautiful England. She has two lovely blogs with great photography and it is so nice to get a peek at her travels in and around Surrey. So go and visit Jackie-you will be glad you did. Thank you Jackie for being so kind and thoughtful!

The photo in the background is my husband's grandparents picture in their later years. I have always loved this picture.

There is a lovely new tearoom open in Summerside called Miss Daisy's Victorian Tearoom.

The food is excellent and the price is very reasonable.

they use pretty teacups and teapots.

I love the colors they used on the walls

Love the stairway too.

They have two or three rooms that they use.

I look forward to going back soon!

I regret that I forgot to take pictures of our food but it was a late lunch and I was very hungry! However,if you get a chance check them out sometime.

Hello Carolyn

Thank you for the mention of my blogs on your post. I am pleased you enjoyed the book, quite light reading, which is ideal with so much going on with Christmas and the New Year.

The new tearoom sounds like my type of place. We have one similar to that not far away " Cassandra's Cup" in Chawton, Hampshire, home of Jane Austen.

Lovely to pop in and share a cup of tea and muffin with you, although it won't do the diet very good!!! Off to get on the new exercise bike now.

Very best wishes, Jackie in UK.

Hi Carolyn,
I'm home from BC and stopped by to say 'hello.' I will have to try that new tea room; looks very nice. Love your reds, as usual! We have the same little pitcher. Have a wonderful day.

Blessings,

Your beautiful post urges me to have a cup of tea and read a new book I just got in the mail, especially since our skies are overcast and it is chilly outside.

You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me. ~C.S. Lewis

oh, the tea room looks so inviting; I wish we had one near me! I took your idea from one of your post on the way you stacked your tea cups in one of your cupboards--only I did my coffee cups that way; I was so thankful for the idea (you can see it in today's post --Tuesday at http://spindlecottage.blogspot.com/

It all looks very lovely. I think they should put a word to a quote on each step of the staircase.
I like the photo of your great-in-laws. xx
