Christmas Past

Hello everyone,

We had a beautiful day today and it supposed to continue all week so it is great to be able to finish up the last of our fall clean up. Vesey's( a local mail order garden center) had a big supply of tulips etc. on for $2. a bag. Even their amaryllis were $2. So you guessed it -I did stock up!

Now on with my mosaics- I decided to make a few from last years photos at Christmas. The first one above is our little garden cottage all decked out for a Christmas tour.

This is our home at Christmas last year-it will soon be time to go to the attic and haul down all our tubs of Christmas decorations.

More of the 'Christmas Cottage'.

Today I am joining in with Mary again at the Little Red House for Mosaic Monday. Thank you Mary for hosting-I love seeing so many pretty mosaics.

I am also going to join in on Cielo's Show off your Cottage Monday at The House in the Roses. Thank you Cielo for hosting this fun event.

Hi Carolyn,

Your house looks so warm and inviting! The pictures look like magic. I am glad Darcy is back safe. I had to laugh when I read about the Stroopwafels and the wooden shoes he took with him for your mother. She must have been very pleased. My family also enjoys 'Stroopwafels'. I often buy them in the village where my parents live. The village is close to Gouda and has a very small Stroopwafel factory. When I visit my parents I often take some packages of wafels with me. You always get one extra for the road :)! They are so delicious!!! Have a wonderful day!

Lieve groet, Madelief

Hi Carolyn! I have serious fireplace envy . . . you have so many of them and I have only ONE!

What gorgeous Christmas decor. Can't wait to see this year's. I hope I can lure one of my kids home to do the endless run up to the attic for the holiday boxes. Their knees work so well!

Hi Carolyn,
thanks for stopping by and leaving your wseet comments. Though I'm not a big tea drinker i do love china, especially teasets. I find they can such a special touch to a home and at the same time they can literally warm the soul up with their warm content, be it tea, or simply heral tea or camomille...
Again, I must repeat myself and tell you how beautiful your home is. Beautiful past xmas mosaics. thanks for sharing such treasures and putting me in the holiday mood (kind of early for me!).

Wasn't the weather beautiful today! I didn't make it to Vesey's - I may try to get up there this week. But I did make it to the Point - red berries, bay berries and pine branches for free :)
