Birdhouses and Autumn Flowers

Good morning!

Maybe you have noticed that I love birdhouses so I thought it would be fun to gather up all my non white birdhouses and put them into a collage so you could have a peek at them. Andrew made a few of them for me but the rest of them I picked up here and there over the years.I think birdhouses add charm to the garden and I especially love them when they are inhabited by a family. If you look closely you can see a little bird peeking out of one. ( click on to enlarge)

These are photos I took in the garden in the past week. We will still have a few weeks hopefully to enjoy our garden but then it will be time to put the garden to bed for the winter. For everything there is a season!

Tomorrow is Pink Saturday so I am joining in-hope to see you then.

Have a great weekend,

Carolyn

Your birdhouse collection is so charming and fun :-) The variety of shapes and styles is great. The two mosaic ones are my favourites -- I found the little bird peeking out from one of them :-)

Your flowers and gardens are gorgeous!! Wow!!

Thanks for visiting colourful Nova Scotia with me :-)

Carolyn, I just love seeing all your birdhouses at once. You have a wonderful collection. Yes they do add so much charm to a garden and I love having places that may encourage more birds to nest here. I have a long way to go to match your wonderful collection.
Your mosaic of all your blooms is awesome.
Hugs,
June

I love your collection of birdhouses. I have a few myself and like you think they add so much to a garden especially when they are housing our feathered friends. We have a farm in N GA and I have several bluebird boxes that my husband has made. We thoroughly enjoy watching our bluebirds and they generally have three hatches in a season. They also come back to the same box year after year. Bluebirds are fascinating to watch.

I will have to take some photos of my bird houses and share.

Enjoy your garden as long as you can.

I have a family of Eastern bluebirds nest in my corner birdhouse every year. Their colors are stunning. I so enjoy seeing the first cobalt blue and orange chested bluebird come to prepare the house for welcoming their young. I do love my yard birds! And I enjoyed your birdhouses.

I adore these charming birdhouses and especially agree that their charm is enhanced when they provide a home to a bird family.
