A White Cottage Tea

Hello, I am happy that you came for a visit today as I have the teapot already.
Why don't we sit in our little cottage where there is a nice breeze coming in?
I have used my white china today.
White starfish
White linens
I made us some dainty sandwiches.
creamy roses
bouquets of white hydgrangeas
I think I got carried away here-but I hope you are still with me.
Well, we have enjoyed a nice long visit,
so evening has slipped up on us-I will light the candles.
I love the cottage by candlelight-so romantic.
Well, maybe you would like to spend the night here and save a trip home tonight?
I will say good night as I walk through the garden to our house. Thank you for coming and don't forget to blow out the candles!

Today is Tablescape Thursday over at Susan's lovely blog Between Naps on the Porch so I am joining in again this week. It is always fun to check out Susan's creative tablescape and the other participants as well. Thank you Susan for hosting.

Take care,

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn
What a delightful way to start my day, having tea with you in your beautiful cottage. I'm just imaging what we would talk about. I'd love to stay the night but it might be crowded because I'm sure everyone who reads this today will want to stay too!
Hope you enjoy your day.
Hugs, Rhondi

Carolyn, I had the best time!
Enjoyed visiting with you and the cool breeze gently blowing in to cool us as we chatted. None of that burning Kansas heat. This was so refreshing.

The sandwiches were sweet and carefully made. You're the best.

You know how I enjoy your lil cottage decorated with light colors. This is so very pleasant.
Take care and thank you for making us all feel so pampered and special.

Truly yours,
d

Dear Carolyn

Isn't it perfect summer weather? Although you're right about the humidity - we're just not used to it.

Your garden is so beautiful - I enjoyed catching up on your latest blooms. I have an Annabelle too. They're so pretty. Also my hydrangeas are in full blossom. I had to water them today though - they were wilting a bit.

Your cottage by candlelight is gorgeous! Don't be surprised if you find R and I there some morning - especially if you're serving waffles :)

You have gotten so many comments, and they are all better than anything I could say.
However, you have inspired me to search out the white item I have collected from a zillion estate auctions, rummages, etc., and try this myself!
