Balcony Bliss & Garden Views

Hi everyone,
We are still having beautiful hot summer weather here but we are anxiously watching hurricane Bill as the prediction is that he is headed our way. It is uncommon for us to be hit by hurricanes but in 2003 hurricane Juan(level one here) did take down a lot of trees on the Island giving a little sample of the power these hurricanes have. The prediction is that Bill could be a harder hit, however still to early to tell. Hopefully,it will veer of to sea before hitting Nova Scotia or anywhere else.
On a different note I thought I would share some photos of our balcony today. The photo above is taken from our bedroom doorway which leads to the balcony.

It is a good place to relax after a day working in the garden.
stretch out and read for a spell if you like.
or have a cup of tea.

I enjoy having some planters on the balcony so I can wake up to some beautiful color.
A good spot for breakfast in the morning.
or an evening cup of tea.

the view from the end of the balcony

this was shot through the screen door
pretty colors
a dahlia
a mandavilla vine
geranium
most days I have a smoothie for breakfast-today it is peach
with a homemade scone

Looks pretty good but tastes even better!
Hope you enjoy your day.
Carolyn

The pictures of your garden are beautiful! It makes me want to come live with you! I don't think I would be able to get anything done but sit on that inviting balcony and look off into the gardens eating my scones and drinking coffee and smoothies! I love it!

Here's hoping that Bill stays in the Atlantic! Your balcony and the view from it are beautiful. As is the smoothie and scone. As Fonville Farm said, add coffee and you've got paradise!

What an amazing view of your garden from your balcony. Oh my Carolyn, you must thoroughly enjoy your balcony.

I so hope you won't have Hurricane Bill. I do know living in FL how devastating a hurricane can be and I know in your area this is most unusual. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Carolyn
What a beautiful place to start your day, with a smoothie a scone and a beautiful view of the garden. I hope the storm misses you. I hear they had a tornado just outside Toronto.
Enjoy the weekend.

That white furniture is so nice...and the scones look good too! It's good to be able to look down on the garden and see the whole view.

Please stay safe. Hopefully Hurricane Bill will stay far away.

Carolyn How I have missed your afternoon teas. I have been away and then busy and the garden needed much catching up to be done. Your photos are lovely but your garden is beautiful. How do you manage to keep it so lovely do you keep a box full of gardeners somewhere?

So beautiful, what is it like to live with such loveliness surrounding you? Maybe one day I will know. I sure hope that hurricane veers way offshore if it makes it as far as PEI.

Hugs,

Hope the hurricane veers off. Your balcony is a place of sheer bliss, I've got into the habit of having smoothies made with yogurt and fruit lately, I feel healthy drinking it.

I hope the weather misses you altogether.

Lovely post, the flowers are beautiful, always feel like the light in the eastern provinces is like butter making everything just that little bit warmer and friendly.

Hoping that hurricane takes a turn and heads out to sea soon.
