A Lazy Summer Afternoon!

Do you remember that old song roll out those lazy hazy days of summer-where do they all go? I remember as a child summer seemed endless and now blink and it's gone(well almost) !
So why not take some time to grab a good book and head to the shore.
It is so beautiful here with the sun and the clouds.
Take along a little picnic.
If the sun is too bright for you =you may use my parasol.

You can enjoy the beautiful view-water and rolling hillside.
Wasn't that a pleasant way to spend an afternoon?
Today I am joining Susan again for Outdoor Wednesday over at A Southern Daydreamer. Hope you will have time to daydream too! Thank you Susan for hosting this fun event.

Take care and thanks for visiting,

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn...

Ohhh myyy yes!!! I am soooo there, my friend...thank you for the invite!!! Hehe! What a lovely way to spend a lazy summer day! Funny thing is...I just came back from vacation but it was a hectic one! Thank you so much for sharing your "little piece of heaven" with all of us...a Girl can dream, can't she?

Oh Carolyn, how I wish I lived near the seashore. Your pictures are so lovely. I posted pics today of the Western seashore in Bellingham, Washington. Now I am really homesick for the ocean! Hugs, ~cindy s~

Hi Carolyn, You are such a great stylist!!! I can see this in Victoria magazine. It is so lovely and peaceful. If I head on down to Laguna Beach right now, I'd be hard pressed to find a 6x6 foot spot to call my own!!! The beaches are so crowded. The secret is...in Sept and the beginning of Oct, the kids are back in school, the tourist have gone home and you can have a lot of solitude at the beach. Sept and the beginning of Oct are some of our hottest days in So. Cal. and a great time to enjoy the beach.

Dear Carolyn,
AHHHHH..
I agree, when a child it seemed like the days lasted forever. Especially when I was in a hot classroom and was so tired of the school work.
Now I can barely remember the time there.
Would love to be lying on the beach and listening to the gentle wind blow and the birds flying above.
Blessings to you my Friend and God Bless,
D

Such a pretty, restful spot!
But even without the water, you could be in your own back yard with all of the pretty perfection, from the blanket and pillow, to the wicker picnic basket and straw hat, and then the sun parasol added to it!
Love it all!

So true that summer seemed endless when I was a child.

I enjoyed your lovely photos. I'd need that parasol as I can not tolerate too much sun. :-)
