Peonies Everywhere!

Did I tell you that I love peonies? We have over a hundred peonies in our garden and most of them are in bloom now. ther are a few early ones that are past and a few late ones not blooming yet but the majority of them are now in bloom.

I have picked lots of bouquets like the one above.

I think this one is Gardenia.

p

Pink Hawaiion Coral

Duchess of nemuirs

A single peony-not sure which one

This is Festiva Maxima-my first peony given to me by my Dad and he got it from his Dad so it is very special. I have divided it mant times. It is very fragrant.

this is Laura Dessert

unsure of this one,

This is Shirley Temple

pretty but I bought some at yardsales and they weren't named so maybe you can tell me which one it is.

peonies and lupins look good together.

another single-I don't stake these.

peonies in the garden.

peonies in a basket

peony on quilt

peonies and teacup

peony in bud

peonies in teapot

peonies in our sunroom

beautiful bouquet!

peonies over our picket fence

another bouquet

And to end of a peony collage. I hope you love peonies too!

It is raining off and on today and I have a home and garden tour with tea and dessert this afternoon so I am off to do some baking.

Take care,

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn
I hope the sun co-operates with your garden tour today. Your peonies are out of this world! You have such an abundance in your garden. Every time you post I can't wait to see what the pictures will be and I am never disappointed.
Blessings, Rhondi

Carolyn, I especially like the soft pink ones. These soft pink peonies in the white pitcher are my favorites. Though all are pretty, the ones in the pitcher on your sun porch are a gentle touch to enjoy.

I'm so glad that you have photographed your beautiful flowers and are sharing them with us via blog.

Kansas Peonies bloom in May. To see a large presentation, we have to drive through the local cemetaries where large amounts of peonies grace the grounds for Memorial Day.

Carolyn your peonies are so beautiful! I only have 4 peony plants. And only two of them bloom! I don't know what I am doing wrong. The ones that bloom only get one or two flowers on them too.

Hi Penny,
Peonies like a lot of sunshine to bloom well.the other reason peonies don't bloom is if they are planted to deep.

Oh, Carolyn, I am so jealous! I love peonies and you just can't grow them here. I can't even find them at the flower stands :(. Thank you for sharing these beautiful flowers today.

Carolyn,

WOW, your peonies are absolutely gorgeous. I am so envious because I dearly love peonies and we can't grow them here in N FL either. I am so glad to be able to visit your blog and enjoy yours.

The one your Dad gave you that also came from his Dad's garden is so very special. Because of the story behind it that you shared I think that is my favoirte.

Hope the rain clears for you in time for your tour.

I love your peonies. They are the queens of my garden. If I could only grow one thing, it would be peonies. But thank goodness, no one has limited me to just one flower. Yours are all so lovely.
