These are a few of the birds that I took photos of in our garden today. I love to hear all the different bird songs as we work in the garden. I am enjoying being out in the garden -dividing and moving perennials and making little improvements here and there. We are also working our way through the beds raking and tidying as we go. The sun is shining and the grass is getting green so life is good!! how about you are you enjoying your garden too?
Take care,
Carolyn

Lovely photos as usual...Those yellow birds colour-match the daffodils!
Glad to hear you are enjoying the garden...although I planted lily bulbs yesterday,we are still a ways from blooming daffs or tulips.
You know, it's amazing to know that, although we live so far apart - me in GA-US, you in Canada, yet we share many of the same birds - chickadees, goldfinches, purple finches, etc. Makes the world seem a little smaller, doesn't it!
These days the hummers are scarce as it is their nesting time, but they are around. I have 4 regular feeders, one thistle feeder, and two suet feeders in my garden. Visitors to my feeders right now are goldfinches, house finches, purple finches, chickadees, titmice, nuthatches, wrens, downy woodpeckers, red bellied woodpeckers, and there's even a mockingbird and a brown thrasher who visit the suet cakes. Oh, and of course mourning doves, juncos, towhees eat on the ground where the other birds scatter seeds fo them. The birds bring me such joy year round!
Sorry, but I forgot the three hummingbird feeders!
Oh, that last bird (not sure what it's called) comes and drinks from my sister's h-bird feeder! (Well, not that exact bird!) He is the brightest yellow I have ever seen!
m ^..^
Great shots!
Oh those birds have such beautiful color! Your garden bulbs are looking great.
Carolyn, it is so lovely to see you in Spring at last - My that was some winter you had.
But that predominantly yellow collage with the daffs and the birds is priceless! Looks like you have all the same birds as us. Amazing, though they don't all frequent the garden at the same time like yours have.
Great photography and happy to see you are able to garden again!
Cheers! Pauline.
(PS started at your most recent entry, will cover all I have missed over the next day or so, as I can :)
Goodnight! P
WOW... those pics are simply stunning!
Blessings~ Jen
Carolyn, thanks for stopping by and leaving your generous comment.
Beautiful.....do you have a zooming lens to make these.....?
They have such nice colours.
You don't find them in Holland.
Nice day
My son loves when you post bird photos. (I do too) He has created his own little bird sanctuary, but we're going to expand it to allow for more feeders and bird houses. Your flowers are so beautiful. I can't wait till I can work in my yard. It needs so much work. The inside is just as bad as the outside so it's been a long road.
Okay, I have to ask...
In your house, is your trim/doors painted white or cream?
OH~~~ The birds in your garden are so pretty! I love feeding the birds, and my 3 grandchildren love watching them as well. God is so good.
Blessings,
Ginger
Beautiful photos of even more beautiful birds!! I especially love the black capped chickadees since they are the state bird of NJ, my home state. I would love to see them in our yard, adding their little touch of color to the surroundings. What a treat it was to see them. I am thrilled that you were able to capture them and so many other lovely birds on camera. Your photos trully are amazing. Debby
p.s. Oops, made a mistake and just realized it, not the black capped chickadee, but the GOLDFINCH is the yellow bird that I am talking about. Oh, how my mind does slip at times! they are the ones that I remember in my mother's yard as a child, and is the state bird. Debby
Hi Carolyn
The photos of the birds are great. We have the same birds here. I'm glad that you are able to be out working in your garden now. I am excited to see pictures of it this year!
Hugs, Rhondi
Hi Lovely photos and lovely birds different than we have here in UK.
Those little birds are so cheerful to listen to as you tidy up the garden!

Oh! Looks like all the pretty birds have flown to your garden, haha. I really enjoyed these photos and your garden is really coming alive with colours, love it. We have a dog and she often chases away every bird that comes into our yard.
Carolyn,
I enjoyed your bird photos. I too am an avid bird watcher and here in N FL enjoy watching the gold finches until mid April. Sadly they have moved on since I haven't seen them in a couple of weeks. I do enjoy their visit when they are here and miss them so your photos satisfied my need to see them one more time. I have tried taking photos of them but with no success.
It's always uplifting when I visit your blog and I am so glad that you are back in your garden which is obviously your passion.
