Oh that is so cute. I love redwork but don't own any. And your toile is lovely, too. I really enjoyed your photos of the Toile Party yesterday.
Blessings!

What a fabulous idea. Kate Greenaway is perfect for redwork and your apron is an inspiration Carolyn, I must add it to my ever growing list of 'want to makes'.

Hi Carolyn, thank you for dropping by my blog and leaving comment! What a pleasure to see someone new. I love your redwork apron. I just last week bought a book on embroidery and it has a chapter on redwork, one on blackwork too. The book is real eye-candy. I would like to learn how to do it, so I am setting my mind to it!

I've got some vintage redwork somewhere around here....

Hello Carolyn...

Your red work apron is lovely! I just adore the sweet children! I really don't know much about red work or the history of it...but I have seen a few pieces and have just fallen in love with it! Since I collect red transferware and I love to embroider, I bought some really sweet patterns and red thread...thought I might try my hand at doing some pieces! I haven't started the project yet but at least I have all the materials needed! I'm so glad that you shared this pretty apron...I'm inspired to get busy with my project!

Warmest wishes,
Chari
