Did I Say Spring???

Yesterday, after a couple of spring days it started to snow

And snow

Until our walkway had a couple of feet of the white fluffy stuff

Actually it wasn't that fluffy it was kind of heavy

our little cottage is banked with snow-there are daffodils up a couple of inches under all that snow!

The urns are weighed down with it.

The picket fence is almost covered in spots.

Th mock orange tree is bent over

Are you surprised at all that snow and it is almost April?

Do you see our terrace that I showed yesterday set for breakfast-um ,not for awhile!

The Korean Lilac standard looks pretty in snow.

I'm trying to think positive - so doesn't it look fresh and clean?

The old apple tree-so pretty!

Okay, enough already! I would complain but when I listen to the news with all the resession talk etc. I know I have much to be thankful for so isn't the snow beautiful? Warmer sunnier weather is in our forecast I promise.

If you are sick of my snow pictures I will leave you with a couple of collages.

I hope I have convinced you that snow in spring is indeed beautiful!

Take care,

Carolyn

P.S. Carolyn, Did you get my message yesterday that there was a problem with the comment moderation and your comment got lost. Well, I accidentally clicked "reject" instead of "publish" on 23 comments and yours was one of them. I would so like to include your comment if you would kindly come back to comment. I copied your comment from the email alert:

So sorry, I've never done this before, but, as they say, "accidents happen". I am notifying everyone that was affected by it.

The snow is beautiful and soon it will be gone. Just a little delay. The good news is nothing keeps spring from arriving!

The pictures are beautiful, even tho' it is disheartening.
I am glad as I sort thru the things in my garage so that I can sell them, that I am not trudging thru snow.
I am raising money to open a home to foster teens & work w/ them to turn their lives around. You or one of your readers, may want to look at some of the things listed on my blog. I have lots of goodies from my boutique & wellness spa I closed last year.

Oh Carolyn, I know you are being positive, but I hope it goes as quickly as it came. You deserve to see Spring as it is supposed to be. We are very late here too, but it is finally feeling like Spring, but we are not that far ahead of you. Some beautiful snow scenes there and I love the black and white Toile collages. You have been busy. Thanks again for sharing your great pictures.

I thought of you when I watched the news last night about your snowfall. It's snowing here today too, and everyone is hoping we don't get flooding from the Red, as they have had further South. Our home is within the floodway but many homes along the river are not.

Hello Carolyn...

Well my friend...as I have explained in the last few posts, I don't know how I've missed all of these...or where I've been! Anyway, I've just spent the last half hour or so going back through all of your posts that I've missed! I'm so sorry to have missed them...and so glad that I've finally made it here to see all of the beauty that you so faithfully supply all of us with!

I just adore the black and white toile or transferware dishes...I especially like that little pitcher! Such pretty "eye candy" to feast upon!!!

Warmest wishes,
Chari
PS...I did leave comments on all of the posts that I had missed!

You really have had your share of snow this year but it does look pretty. I posted some Spring photos today from S.C. and hopefully the flowers will be blooming in your area when the snow melts. I love to see crocus push up through the snow.

Carolyn, your home is beautiful, snow or no snow. Sounds like March went out like a Lion there in Prince Edward Island. Most times it does here in germany too, but we got lucky this year and had 60° and sunshine! I count my blessings, since it is not usual for us. Your photos were lovely, and I doubt if any one got tired of looking at all that snow! It can be quite wonderful on the trees, lying atop fence posts and mail boxes, turning the usual and every day into something magical! I very much enjoyed your post! And I wish you warmer days soon though and fast melting snow, so that true spring can arrive in your area soon.
